Hmmm....I don't wanna sound like a jerk, but CoD is now getting pretty bland and following MOH footsteps. I mean one of the MOH games was Pacific Assault, I don't know how many played it, but well, CoD 5 looks like Pacific Assault only abit more polished, nothing new. It would be interesting if CoD used a different story line and not went for WWII again. Maybe I don't know, Korea or hell I would even settel for Vietnam. Now please don't think I say this game is racist or anythin' it's just the WWII topic has been done verticall and horizontal |

World at War features Pacific front as well as Eastern front theatre. You play as both Americans and Soviets. And no, you don't only get to play Americans in Pacific theatre. |

I'll admit Inifinity Ward do the best COD games, and COd3 was pretty bad, but I'm giving this one a try, already agreed to with 3 friends to go through the 4 player online co-op, gonna preorder it soon. Does look dark, lots of torture and that kinda thing, hmmm, may not be great for some. |

Call of Duty 3. Oh you want more? Well there's really nothing else that can (or really has to be said) than Call of Duty 3. It pales in comparison to Call of Duty 2, it's shit in every sense of the word. Now with the piece of awesome that Call of Duty 4 was (is) and what with COD 3 being shithouse, Treyarch will have had to have worked very very hard to not repeat the mistakes of 3 again. |

I was watching some COD5 videos on IGN, and the online aspect is pretty much identical to COD4. The HUD is nearly all the same. The vehicles might make it a bit ridiculous though. At least then it will give an actual reason for a rocket launcher, because the RPG was useless in COD4 unless you wanted to just run around shooting them at people. Either way, I found out what the three attacks are. I don't know if this has been posted, but here we are: -3 kills - Recon Plane. Basically it's the UAV. It shows your enemies. -5 kills - Artillery. Basically it's the airstrike. It's probably supposed to be mortars or naval support, but you call it in exactly the same as COD4. -7 kills - Dog attack. A pack of ravenous dogs run into the area and kill your opponents. I laughed at first, but then I saw how effective it was. The person playing was shooting the enemy when all of a sudden they died and it showed the kill cam of a dog running at him and then killing him. Also, I believe from the videos that instead of having the flash/stun grenades they are going to have flares. I saw a couple bright flashes at certain points that looked like a flare, but I'm not sure. I'm definately going to buy this game. I don't really care about the setting. I think it will be a blast playing COD4 online with WWII weapons. |

gametrailers.com has quite a few multiplayer videos on there. I like how they did the multiplayer i was worried they'd change it up abit to much or just change it back to COD3 style. But its like COD4 only a new game..and different names for things. Its going to be a fun game.. im sold |

Hmm, I'm awaiting this game, basing my expectations on exactly what Heli said, Treyarch messed the rest up and will be working hard to put out a good game, plsu it pinched a lot from COD4, so it may be repetitive, but at least it should work. Gives me the impression they are playing it safe for this one, and are going to reach out for new heights if they do another.

I'm not particularly fussed about this. I'll probably get it at Christmas, but again, i'm not fussed about it. Looks good from what i've seen, but i preferred the more modern setting in COD4. |

Well I don't know about elsewhere, but COD5 was released early today stateside. I've been playing it and it's pretty damn fun. The weapons are much harder to get used to than in COD4, but other than that it's great stuff. I got up to rank 5 in less than an hour, so the ranks are pretty much the same. Either way, I'm looking forward to getting attachments for the Thompson, because the thing is deathly inaccurate without anything. Anyone else know about the early release and pick it up? If so, what do you think?
