TTS was my first MGS experience and I loved it. I'm 10 hours into MGS2 now and digging that as well. I have to say that I thought Silicon Knights did a wonderful job. |

Silicon knights did do a good job, but dont you think its a bit well.. cheesy to have snake jump off a missle (and not blow up) fly into the air and blow up the hind? |

Silicon Knights didn't do the cutscenes, they were all done in house at Kojima Productions. |

Kojima didn't work on them, but the Kojima Productions team did. The over the top action was the brainchild of Ryuhei Kitamura, a famous name in Japanese action cinema. He was brought in especially for TTS. At first the cutscenes were all exact replicas of the originals, except in SOL standard graphics, Kojima was shown them but he rejected them because they were just the same as the old ones. I personally like nearly all the new additions to the cutscenes, it adds an edge of adrenaline to the otherwise actionless cutsenes. Some of them seem a little over the top (backflipping onto a rocket), but it's nothing that I don't seen when I watch any superhero film. It's all about taste. |

I thought Kojima rejected them because there was too much use of Bullet Time? |

Obviously not, in my opinion the cutscenes add that edge of action the original could never do cos of limited disk space/limited graphical capabilities. Both of the ninja fight cutscenes are brilliant, plus the cutscene at the top of rex where him and liquid pummel each other in an equal measure is quality. |

It is worth noting that the warhead of a missile is in its nose cone, not in a hatch on top of the thing. Twin Snakes was fantastic, and the added cutscenes were equally fantastic, especially the stand-off sequence after the first Sniper Wolf battle with Snake and the three Genomes. And the whole thing with the rifle butt to the back of Snake's head was utterly hilarious! |
