So I've been reading on these forums (and whats being said ingame in general) and alot of people are saying how easy it is to get Foxhound, and how the emblem doesn't really mean anything anymore. Well I tell you when I finally get foxhound (Or hound or doberman for that matter) I will literally urinate my pants in joy (More urine for higher ranks, naturally). I'd consider myself a decent player, I've never had sloth, highest emblem would be Jaws and Eagle, but have never been able to get these elusive ranks. People say it's easy to obtain but I imagine once you're there at foxhound standard, yeah it would be pretty easy to obtain over and over again. And fauxhounds aside (Everybody knows who they are and pays them no regards) I personally still think that the Foxhound rank is quite prestigious and respect worthy. Any opinions on the matter? I'd prefer not to get into a Fauxhound debate. ![]() |

Grrr, you asked for it!! Fauxhound raaant!! Just kidding man, I was in the same state ofm ind about the emblem when I was an eagle. It didn't matter to me how somene had obtained it, because whoever did would surely have some skills to achieve so. I range between average - above average as a player, but when I obtained Foxhound I was just average. The first time I got Foxhound after only 15 hours on my character, I was just sitting in the couch with my jaws hangin. Course I was bit happy, but all I thought was "u kiddin me?" |

That's why the Foxhound emblem is worthless. All Players with over 150 hours of Playing and a Foxhound emblem are really great and most of them deserve the emblem but the rest? I mean I'm now average (level 5) but if I decide to start all over again and just play at Beginner Lobbies I'd quite probably also get the Foxhoud rank after around 10 hours cause as a level 5 Player I'd own all of the REAL level 0-3 Players = great kill/death ratio = FH rank rather sooner than later. They should definately give the FH emblem to guys with at least 100 hours of Gametime. I think that than there would be also a lot less Fauxhounds. I mean come on who wants to play for 100 hours just on FH servers? Certainly not many. Or they simply should make a Kill/death AND level limit. Comparing with the Big Boss/Foxhounds rankings of the game the MGO ones are WAAAAAAAY easier to get IMO. |

That sums up my ideas. The highest rank I've achieved is doberman, and I can't seem to get passed it, no matter how good I play. This is due to the fact that I usually play one game type, and that my character is old. If I were to start anew, its most likely that FH would be easy to attain. I think they should raise the requirements to be at least level 8, a 1.7 k/d and at least 100 hours of gameplay then the would be less fakehounds walking around, but whatever its fun telling fakehounds their fake and then they do horrbible and leave the next round or before the round ends lol |

I got the emblem the instant I knew what was needed for it and I'm confident that I could get it easily if I made an alternate character. Quickill nice idea, I would still get it if they raised it that much, but I bet lot of people won't. ![]() I personally like humiliating fakehounds, it's fun how they allways brag we are "easy" though in the end we win and I tend to say: "you were right, it was easy." ![]() Blue Blood good luck in getting the FH rank. ![]() Dell Boi my friend said the same until he became FH

Well to get FH you only need 0,05 better K/D in tdm/dm and 2,5% better win-ratio in cap, res, tsne, base and in base you need to have 0.1 more total bases captured so if you get fox you get FH real quick afterwards. Edited by Vashyo, Nov 14 2008, 04:32 AM.

lol (no disrespect to Blue Blood) but I am sick of seeing topics and having MGO related convos with people about Foxhound! I want it so bad, but at the same time I don't. :-S I don't know why lol. I hate it so much that I love it. I envy real players who have it (and respect them), but I also think towards Fakehounds that I should have that emblem too (because I am better than the lot of them, and don't need to boost to prove that I am an average player). The emblem angers, intrigues and makes me seethe from withdrawal of it. Its strange. But yes, it is FAR to easy to obtain in MGO2. Apparently in MGO1 you actually had to be very good at the game (ranked in like the top 100 in a game type of something) to even get FOX, let alone FOXHOUND. So yes, it is far too easy to get now in comparison to what it used to be (from what I hear, it used to be pretty much unboostable in MGO1, unless you had no life and could afford to spend 24/7 boosting in one game type). However, about 90% of 'Foxhounds' on MGO2 are nothing but fakes now, which is a deep shame. |

I'm seeing accounts now with 20+ hours total playing time with a FoxHound. Look up their stats and they are totally low as heck. I mean like really low playing wise. What a shame the makers of the game didn't think this part out as well. These emblems should have a playing time or number of set rounds on them as well. Like say 1000 games, lol. Or some 300 hours at least playing time and your correct stats to have it. So many new cheaters ( or good player's ) are showing up with it now and it so very common. Took all that's special from having it. My main guy will take awhile now because I do not withdraw from games I'm going to loose like SO many of these fakes. I'll be at 500 hours today too with my main guy, lol. I have two other's at 100 hours each, lol... But those are just crap guys I use to have fun with and don't mind running into the other teams spawn and raising hell, lol....

Well alot of people are kind of confirming what I thought already. If you play at foxhound standard, you are going to get foxhound easily. Saying that you could start a new character and get foxhound in 10 hours is meaningless to those of us who play the game, try our best at every round and still dream of the day the FH emblem will be ours. I'm by no means a bad player, at the moment I have the crocodile emblem and a very good k/d ratio for level 3 (Yes I started again). Like I said before the fakehounds are easily routed out and dealt with, but I just think alittle more credit needs to be given for the players who achieve foxhound the proper way. I mean foxhound isn't as common as everyone seems to think. People don't accidently become foxhound. They either have the skills or cheat there way to the top. |

You need to have 15 hours of gameplay to get FH, it's one of the requirements. it's true that there isn't actually so many foxhounds and many of them are just boosters, as a foxhound I often see other foxhounds quiting when they can't play with me on my team (because they are scared to play against other FH's). Like Gally said 90% of Foxhounds are infact fauxhounds, who got it by making a new character, of course they're atleast average players but they got the title only by playing against lvl 0-3 players in the beginners-lobby. I got mine when I had around 150 hours of playtime and I got it by playing on the public servers...not in the beginners-lobbies. I myself don't think it's so amazing feat to get it, I hate how discouraging it can be to some newcomers when they are forced out of the beginners-lobbies and against high-level foxhounds in the public-lobbies. I will propably never create another character (I'm still playing with "Vashyo" which I made when the MGS4 came out) because I like to see my total playtime stats. Requirements for Foxhound should be: - 2,0 K/D ratio in both TDM and DM -70 % win ratio in Cap, Res, TSne - 1,5 Base capture ratio - 100 hours+ gameplay -Over 50 % victories as Snake (because playing as Snake can be tricky) I still can't believe that Sneaking does nothing on your emblem. And I'm back to being a Fox on my character. If I kill just one more person in DM, I'll be Foxhound again lol. |

Agent Smith entering your system...

I don't see how many of you get these high win ratio's. I mean everybody gets on a bad team sometime don't they? Or do you all get out before the end of a round if you're going to lose? I get the high k:d ratio as it's mostly about how fast and good you are. But the win ratio is about your team and I just can't believe you somehow always get onto the winning team. I just don't get the system of ranking and stuff at all. I mean it has benefits but also negative points. Both in getting it and how others react to it. Konami should do 1 easy thing about some tricking; simply make it impossible to switch teams during a match and make it impossible to leave a round when it started. EDIT: question; do the stats of ALL your caracter games count or only the recent ones (say 1 month)? I mean, if you get a caracter and start of bad and get better and better. Can your rank change or will it need an ENORMOUS amount if kills and wins to do this? Edited by hukkel, Nov 15 2008, 03:56 PM.
