Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater	Ok...These two cutscenes confuses me a little bit... When you meet Pliskin for the first time after Vamp has slaughtered all the SEAL's why does Raiden get suspicious when he sees a bug crawl next to Pliskin? Note: It's with German subtitles And why did Pliskin nearly pass out and started to sleep after he gives Raiden the SOCOM? Check again in the video at 3:13....I've always thought that it has to do something with FOXDIE...or I'm I wrong? Edited by The Protagonist, Jun 22 2008, 01:56 AM.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots	Raiden is suspicious because when he asks Pliskin how he got onto the Shell, Pliskin replies "fast rope descent from a NAVY chopper", then he sees the bugs which he saw in the dock area, in other words, Raiden knows he's lying. I think he passes out because he is injured.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater	Pliskin says it's because he must of lost more blood than he thought, although the little sound effect when he goes dizzy always made me wonder if it was to do with FoxDie as well, good question mate.

Snake doesn't pass out, he becomes dizzy from the blood loss and the adrenaline in his blood (combat high) thinning out.

You can tell that Raiden knew that Pliskin was lying because of the bug that came from his gear. Also, Pliskin/Snake passed out because he lost a fair bit of blood, It is nothing related to Fox-Die. So I guess this should be locked.

Yes, but they are first spotted in the dock, where you start in the Plant Chapter...Hence, Raiden knows that Pliskin/Snake entered from that area too...

If I remember right (as I've rarely played MGS2 since getting MGS3 and now MGS4), the next place he happened upon them was in Strut H.

You don't have to think to deep about where these bugs are located. They have made it known to the player there's another man besides Raiden who has snuck into the plant by swimming. Shortly thereafter you meet Pliskin and you see that bug. It's all for the sake of drama, and to provide the player with simple clues to who Pliskin really is, beside from his other clear references to Solid Snake.

Let's not forget those were necrophoric bugs (though genetically modified to eat oil if I remember correctly?). Am I wrong?

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater	i have no idea, but to me it showed that Snake had been in an area where those bugs were around, at the bottom of Strut A, therefore it was him who cut the hole in the oil fence and swam in. The shot of him in the lift is proof

You're right, those bugs were genetically modified in a lab to eat oil, but they don't have anything in comment with FOXDIE...Like said above, the bug that crawled from Pliskin's body, proves that it's Snake, and that he came from the dock in Strut A, the same way Raiden entered The Big Shell

Therefore, he would have oil on him, and the bugs were designed to eat oil (or evolved to eat oil). Therefore they followed him. Plisken passes out because he's knackered from blood loss.
