OK i've been playing this game for 3 days now and about half of the players in a normal server only use m14ebr. it costs 750 DP - way too cheap if you ask me it's statistically pretty much the same as m4 custom but without CQC and it has sniper scope and a little less bullets. also guns like p90 which I like to use are incredibly weak compared to it and also cost lot more (2000 DP). I have suprised people with the p90 and emptied a clip in them from 1-2 meters away and they just won't die. They allways have lot of time to react to my surpise attack and shoot me in 2-4 shots with the m14ebr. The M14ebr should cost a lot more for being so powerful and accurate. Only good way to kill with an SMG is to shoot to the head since it kills with 2-3 shots depending what SMG you use. I think it's the games best gun overall and also really REALLY cheap. |

True, even the name is M14 Enhanced Battle Rifle (EBR) so it's practically an assault rifle modified to be a sniper rifle. It still should be in the assault rifle class, it should have a price of at least 2000-4000 DP instead of the cheap 750 DP. Why buy SMG's when you get a gun that's better in every area expect amount of ammo compared to the p90. |

yer man, i know what you mean, thats the most annoying weapon on the game! and on single player p90 is an excellent weapon, but online, its shit! i stick with single shot rifles and pistols! does me good |

I must agree on this subject, 90% of the US server players use M14 and the rest uses M4. For a wepaon acting like a assault wepaon with sniper scope with a low recoil should cost much more. Yet though most of the time I surprise them with my M5

Same with the european players, expect I have seen a small increase in people who prefer the ak102 over the m4 custom, but still m14ebr seems to be a favorite to most of the players. |

I hate it when people get mad at anyone for using the M-14. It isn't a cheap gun. Anyone can use it, so it's not like the person using it has an unfair advantage. It's just silly to get mad at someone just for using a gun that we all know is really good. |

I hear you snipers are not supposed to be good close up. I try to find games that are no dp. Sometimes I'll make my own game just to make it no dp. |

P90 kills in single player but isn't that good in online. My personal favorite is the MK.17 with the grip. |

Yeah, the M14 is way too good. I don't know why you all think the P90 is bad, I was great with it. But now, because I like to CQC, I use handguns only. The D.E is good, but I like the Operator. I think that should be in non-DP matches too, as the DSR is crap, and it's the only leathal handgun. Also, the Operator is free in DP matches, so why not have in in non-DP? |

hahah i hate all people that use the m14 and m4, there the foam at the side of the mouth type people who cant go 12 seconds without something being shot. ive found a solution to be honest though. im a lvl3 cqc master, but i use the weirdest set of weapons, a shield which drives them nuts!!!! because they cant get around it. that weird russian hangun thats like a uzi. handy for headshots. and smoke grenades cuz they confuse people more than stuns. ha. give it a try. im original but even still. it works with practice! |

M14 isn't cheap but it is broken. The guns quality is balanced by the amount of DP required and for a gun that is SUPER STABLE, has a scope and fires off a lot a rounds per clip, it's WAAAYYY to cheap. It actually makes me think that the DP was put in as an accident and it was suppose to actually be 7500, which would make it an actual fair gun Oh and for the people complaining about M4; quit the game now because you're just whining out of the fact that you suck at it! The M4 is perfect for it's price and requires upgrades to make it on par with the M14. A lot of people use it because they didn't get enough kills to get enough dp for the XM8 or whatever they prefer. What type of idiot wants people to only use the shittiest guns? I'll tell you who? The hypocrite that runs around with the M14. |

I agree 100% that the M4 is perfect for its price. Personally I can't see why or how people can complain about it, the weapon doesn't seem overpowered at all to me. While the M14 should rise in price, I don't think its to horrible of a weapon once you get used to the game you'll find other weapons that you can use well. I can't recall the name of a gun that I like, it cost 5000 and has 800 bullets. I simply like it cause you never need to reload in the midst of a fight. The aim is bad but once you get used to it, the weapon is quite nice. I wish there was better use for the shield. I think its hilarious when people try to use it and act as if you can't hit them. All you have to do is aim at the legs and you can get a kill without getting hit. Edited by solidfox, Jul 14 2008, 03:02 AM.

I like using the P90 the most since it holds more in one clip than most other weapons. If I go one on one with someone they will run out of bullets sooner than I will and while they try to run around reloading I still have enough to finish them off. If I'm going against more experienced players I try the XM8 or the plain ol' AK. Aside from that, the SVD is the last weapon I'll try depending on the level and type of game I'm playing. Yeah, but I guess the whole scope on the M14 is the reason why I I kept getting headshotted (if that's a word, lol) all the time more so than the SVD. Took me a while to figure that out though.... Welp, for those that complained, the M14 price went up to 3k. Funny thing is, the p90 already sucked and they lowered the amount of ammo it gets... |

imo, the m14 and dsr1 shouldn't even be in the game. imo the dsr1 is waaaay more destructive than the rpg7 when in the right hands. M4 single shot is the way to go |
