Hey guys, I am sorry if this has been asked before or in wrong section..

I am a big Fan of this game.. Ever since Metal gear solid 1..
I bought the PS2 just for metal gear Solid 2 and 3..

I know there are lots of other guys who mite have done the same..

My problem is, I can play MGS all day and all night, Ill never get sick off it.. but when i try playing any other game i get bored in few mins or so..

The reason for this thread is, u guys share the same intrest as me, so plz guys can you recomend me some good games, 1 thing ive ralised is, no1 can make a better game then MGS..

I love everything about this game, the action, story, characters, the games are made to perfection..

Too be honest, there is no other game that does what MGS does interms of story telling, but if you're looking for a fun stealth series, you have Hitman and Splinter Cell to chose from. The stories are boring and the characters aren't as lovable, but it's still stealth. Also if you're just after a good action game with a pretty decent story, I recommed Resident Evil 4 (for Playstation 2).

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune is a decent action game for Playstation 3 as well.

thanks for your reply dude, to be honest I have all the 3 games you mentioned above, not even one of them could get me into it..

I think metal gear solid is more then a game,
Uncharted has amazing graphics but just hiding behind a stone and shooting few guys got a bit boring..

I have up on Resident Evils after part two..

Splinter cell, i have the double agent.. and yes u are 100% right, the characters are not lovable..

MGS leaves u with a lot of love for the characters, gives u things to think about, the animation they add in the game are amazing, My best scene is in MGS2 when Vamp 1st comes which is simmuler to the way we meet Ninja in part 1,..

The characters are amazing...

I fink if this really is the end of MGS games then ill defo have no games to look 4ward to :(

I have the same problem. I'm only half way through GTAIV and I'm having trouble picking it up. It all feels the same. Every mission...go kill this guy for me...go sneak up on this guy and kill him...kill these guys to get drugs...dress up in a disguise and kill this guy...kill this guy in a hospital...steal this car...so repetitive. The funnest thing on that game to do is to run into trafic and get hit. The only thing on par with MGS games for me are strategy games. I'm really into history and history is almost like a story except it's reality so it's perfect to build game around. I play the Civilization and Total War Series. Europa Univerasalis 3 is also totally awesome. I can play action games and stuff it's just that when I beat them I can't play them again. They are such a bore. Strategy games are always different and every game is different and needs to be played differently. Plus you can write about your campaigns in story form on other forums and that's always fun. I see your looking for action though...between short bouts of Halo 1 multiplayer and Civ4 online I don't do much more than MGS after I finish other games. Like I said about GTAIV, I don't think I'm even going to be able to finish it...my gaming days might be limited.

You're lying, I've been you

Story wise I can only recommend RPG's...Final Fantasy series, Suikoden, Chrono, and so on. Other then an RPG and MGS I can't think of many games with a great storyline worth remembering and feeling for the characters.

Shouldn't this topic be moved to 'Gaming & PC Chat'?
Aaanyway:
Resident Evil 4 was mentioned earlier. Even though you gave up after RE2, #4 is SO worth playing!
Other PS2-titles that make me drool:
-ICO
-Shadow of the Colossus
-Okami
If I could pic only 4, those would be the ones.

Enjoy!!!

Just start playing the Final Fantasy Remakes on the gameboys and nintendo ds from I-XII (I recommend IV which is coming out on the Nintendo Ds on the 22nd, the VII was great but no remakes, X this one i loved because of the amazing graphics, characters, and an excellent story line.) So try some RPGs
Drebin: They're beauty and the beast.
They weren't even soldiers to begin with you know..
More like victims of war.
