I don't know if the reviews say anything to you or to anyone who has finished the game (i still haven't bought the game yet!!!) but one guy on the Gamecritics.com is saying bad things . But he is claiming to be a fan of the series and of Solid Snake.... You should read it....So...what's your thoughts?

Here's a link: http://www.gamecritics.com/metal-gear-solid-4-guns-of-the-patriots-second-opinion From now on you should post the review in your thread, it's just helpful for others. Anyway I think the guy's a muppet. "Guns of the Patriots is just like the last two Metal Gear games with little to differentiate them outside of small tweaks and a control scheme that finally feels comparable to the current standard". Has he ever played a previous MG before? If he had he would know that there's some major tweaks between the games. Octocamo, control scheme (much improved in comparison for Western gamers), locations, everything has been improved on a gameplay basis. "The drama that Kojima is able to create, yet their methods of making players feel a part of the events are far more successful than anything Guns of the Patriots achieves." If he's a fan and didn't get emotional at any point throughout the game he's either a cyborg of some shape or form or doesn't know the meaning of the word. For instance *plot spoilers* Spoiler: click to toggle I don't see how he calls himself a fan.Honestly I'm just tipping at the ice burg here. Read it yourself, you'll know what I mean and feel my anger towards this reviewer that just has no clue about a MG game. Edited by Aquila, Jul 2 2008, 11:26 PM.

I read the entire review and I must say it fills me with inadvertant anger. Many things that the reviewer mentions are true, if possibly blown out of proportion. But overall, it seems like he was just in a mindset to try to avoid having any fun with the game, so ultimately his poor reception of the game is predominately his own fault. Edit And the other thing is!!! What is the best game ever of all time on the planet Earth? I guarantee you I can find ten things wrong with it in ten minutes. Give it a rest, shoddy reviewers.
