I thought i'd share the lil project i've got going on at the moment. I'm attempting to make my own Custom figure. I'm making Snake from MGS3. The hardest task was to find a figure that half resembled Snake, and heres one i found.  It's an Action Man (See the Scar) yeah i know it doesn't look a lot like Snake but for 50p you can't go wrong! Even came with that black suit which resembles Snake's CQC one he wears under his camo. It has potential definately, add a mullet and a bandana and your laughing (hopefully) Anyways, next i had a hard job finding camo patterns, as the ones i saw were either too big or didn't really match any from the game, but i did stumble across:  I always thought the Animals Camo was funky, plus its a lil different so i decided to buy half a metre. I'd like to see what you do for the eye patch. I think that's what'll make or break how good it looks. Unless you're going for pre-capture Naked Snake heh. |

thought id post an update, i'm on the Jacket at the mo:   The jacket needs the collars finishing and doing up half way and pockets on the jacket arm and trouser leg need adding but so far so good. Edited by r0b, Jul 2 2008, 11:52 PM.

me neither  i'll think of something. The figure cost me 50p though so i can't really complain.I've done the harnesses now and gloves but my batterys are dead for the camera so no pics just yet

WOW! Looking awesome so far! Very creative with the elastics and hooks. I am extremely impressed with the gloves. To work on such a small scale takes a lot of skill. Can't wait to see more of this. |

thanks well i've decided on painting his face, so he looks more like Big Boss than Action Man i've decided to go with the Zombie face paint, as it's my favourite, and will totally cover him So i've just coloured the figure's face in Black, thanks to a steady hand and a Sharpie Fine Point. Now i need some white, i was thinking correction fluid as it's thicker and will easily cover the black, not sure at the moment. The only other 'problem' is the hair, although i think i've worked out a solution, i need to make a small 'wig' probably a rubber glove finger with fake hair threaded into it, to then sit it on his head, with the bandana covering the join. Also the jacket is getting finished hopefully tomorrow so i will be in touch  |
