Talk about what you learnt, if it changed you or your views etc. Use spoiler tags for MGS4. I learnt most from MGS1 and 2. 1 taught me that whatever disadvantages you have in life, genetic or otherwise, it doesn't have to dictate your future. I learned this through Naomi's speech. In 2, I realised how real "reality" may or may not be. Solid Snake's words truly impacted my life. |

I think I learned a lot from MGS2 because it is all about how a group(the patriots) is trying to control future and reality ^ as Wilson said. Which if that ever happened would be kind of scary. And Snake Eater. (Even though these are games, and are not 'real') There was a lot depicted about the Cold War in the game, and I thought that was really cool. I learned a lot from pretty much all the games. They all had those moments that really made you think and that kept things in your mind. If i had to choose, i'd probably say MGS2, because of Raiden. There was so many things that i could relate to to him, especially about him not knowing what to do in his life, not knowing what's right and wrong, what path to take, and questioning so many things, even if it sometimes annoys people. That's why i really like his character because i can understand what it feels like to not know anything about yourself, as (i'm sure) many other people do too. But MGS4 really taught me a lot, especially since it was the last game with Solid Snake, and knowing that his story was going to end after being through so much with him since MGS. MGS1 taught me english x) but other than that I dont know if it affected me. other than 'nuclear weapons is shit', but I already knew that. lolz. the whole genetic thing-theme... well I didnt really understand it until I was like 13-14. and then it was "too late". in MGS2, Solidus made me a liberal. or not, but its possible that I could have been "influenced", so to speak. dock ingen jävla folkpartist, mind you. MGS3, well The Boss was inspiring, I liked that character alot. MGS4, nothing. Im sure I would have learned alot if I hadnt thought of most of these things before I played the games. I like to list things. |

rain, it's not that I hadn't thought of that stuff before playing, just that MG made that stuff actually affect me. This was one of the purposes of the MG Series. MGS1 - GENE MGS2 - MEME MGS3 - SCENE MGS4 - ....errm...AGE? XD |

MGS1 taught me not to let things dictate my future and that I should be the one to do so.And it also got me into studying about genetics which now I am very fond of.It also taught me to just live life happily. MGS2 taught me how to think differently it made me start thinking more realisticly and philosophically and is the main reason why this year I am going to right a book about philosophy and my thoughts on the world and the government. MGS3 didnt teach me anything. MGS4 taught me nothing. But had an excellent storyline. |

oh, sorry if I offended you somehow. I just meant that I already had an own opinion about all these things, so to speak, before I played the games. meaning the games didnt really affect me as I had already come to the same conclusions myself (if that makes any sense? xD) |

Well, I did learn a bit in MGS3 with all the little parts of the Cold War in it and also in MGS2 with a few parts of real life history that boosted my knowledge. |

MGS1 - hands down. No other game has effected my life so much... up until the point I played that game, I spent the majority of my time, indoors playing videogames. After I beat the game, I felt a renewed sense of being, to be honest. I felt like I didn't have to be a fucking recluse for my entire life so, while i'm still a very pale man from lack of sunlight, I do tend to be more open to activities outside of staring at a TV or Computer screen. However, this revelation came to me a long time ago and I've sort of faultered in that new found belief but, I have to try and remember it. MGS' storyline will always hold a special place in my heart. |

What i learned? The game was fictional so you cant really base your whole life theory on it... However i did make thing look at the bigger picture of things. In Life, Work, Everything really. Everyone has there own agenda, thats what i learnt from the game. |

it taught me how to quick shoot a pistol? actually looked at a socom (which is modded of course because legal limit to magazine capacity in australia is 10 rounds). currently looking at around $2,800 brand new. wanted to deck it out with the laser and all. cant have a suppresor of course. it taught me sneaking as well, i was already very into combat and shit but this game brought it to a whole new level, where you dont actually have to "fight" the enemy to win. |
