Games You Bought and Never Finished

So yeah, I know we've all been there and done that. As the topic states, what games have you paid money for and then never ended up finishing them?

So far on my 360 I have:
Condemned: Criminal Origins (almost completed, but since 2 came out I lost all motivation)
The Darkness (I liked it but I could never figure out where to go, which is extremely annoying)
Dead Rising
Mass Effect
The Orange Box
Stranglehold
WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008

And on the PS3, even though I probably haven't even owned it two full weeks, I've pretty much decided not to play much more of Army of Two. It's just such a shitty game compared to what I thought that I have no interest in checking it out any further.

I hate spending money (especially $60+) on something I'm not going to get any use out of. I must say, though, I hate losing receipts even more ^_^

So what'cha got?

Oh, I have a lot. I can't even name them all.

I hate this about me, with some games after a while - I just stop playing. And never really play those, or finish them. It's a damn shame for a lot of games, and I have been thinking about playing some old games. I seriously can't name all the games, cause it's a lot.

I mostly also finish the games who are really worth it for me.

I have too many unfinished PS2 games to name but with my PS3 games I usually make a point to finish it.
However Turok and Ridge Racer 7 are just such genuinely bad games I couldn't make it through them

Time is the death and the healing

A few (most of these aren't even exactly bad games) which come to my mind:

- Ice Wind Dale (got stuck, cause my English sucked back then, I was about 11)
- Okami (It just got boring)
- The Getaway (That one level was so fucked up)
- Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (For GBA, this game is simply the most unoriginal and repetitive piece of shit ever)
- Grand Turismo 2 and 4 (Come on? There aren't many people crazy enough to complete these 100%, especially the 4th one.. I think I got around 35% though, which is REALLY A LOT)
- Rome: Total War (Just didn't have the patience to get this one done)

Umm... I think that's about it. I'm kind of a completionist so I try to finish all the games I bother to get.

A few...

Devil May Cry - I can't explain why, but after playing 3... this was just mediocre in all areas. Got to Mission 17 and said ''fuck it''.

The Getaway: Black Monday - I didn't even technically buy it just like that, came with my PS2. It's sheer annoying gameplay and controls just wouldn't let it be.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted - Too fucking long and repetitive. Gets boring and unreasonably hard at the same time, which made me hate it. I got to number 3 on the blacklist, and then my save game got corrupt. :glare:

SOCOM 3 - Well, mainly needed a good online shooter, and it never even worked out, plus the single-player is shite.

Feck off!

Hmm:

Sonic Heroes (my soul shattered before I could finish it)
From Russia With Love (its baaaaad)
Dawn of War (campaign sucked)
Dawn of War: Winter Assault (campaign sucked)
Dawn of War: SoulStorm (campaign sucked and flying units ruins the game, Dark Crusade however I finished with all races.
Metal Gear: Snakes Revenge (its shit)

I'm sure there's many others.

A man with a stick...a sharp stick
Turok (the ending was pissing me off and I had to return it) (I did like it however)
The Getaway (I could never find that pub to activate the next level or whatever)
Resident Evil *Gamecube remake*(dunno, I just stopped for some reason and didn't know what to do)
Vampire Rain (it was just bad, really bad)
MGX and MGX2 (They where're just hard)
Gears of War ( Liked it, but had to return it)
I known it says "bought and never finished" but I just don't have the money to buy, just rent.

I have quite a few but I couldn't name them. I mostly stop playing becuase I don't like the game (e.g Devil May Cry 3 - why on Earth does everyone like it?).

I even have games that I have bought but I haven't even played! Like Breath of Fire 5 on the PS2. I bought it ages ago but I never get the chance to play it with so many new games coming out and when I finally do have a little gap of time to play it, I don't really feel like going through a huge RPG and especially so seeing as the combat is different from other BoF games. I will get round to it one day ^_^ .

I've got quite a few of those. I think the only ones I've finished lately have been Metal Gear games, but at the same time I don't know exactly which ones I have and have not finished.
"Everything has its beginning. But it doesn't start at one. It starts long before that - in chaos. The world is born - from zero. The moment zero becomes one is the moment the world springs to life. One becomes two, two becomes 10, 10 becomes 100. Taking it all back to one solves nothing. So long as zero remains, one will eventually grow to 100 again." -

You're not alone

Not much but I have a few.
Enter the Matrix - I'm a hardcore Matrix fan and enjoy everything form it, jsut this game had so many bugs, Never got past the airport level.

Final Fantasy 12 - I fucking loved this game, I was never a huge RPG fan but this was more action orientated. The thing is around the same time MGS PO was released and I never went back to it. My ps2 also died so the saved file is lost in oblivion now :(.

Medal of Honor - European Assault, it was pretty cool but after a while it jsut felt way to unrealistic and cartoony, didn't bother beating it.

Mercenaries - Never got into it since I didn't have any ingame motivation to do so.

Oblvion - Is that game even possible to beat?

Splinter Cell 2 - It's hard to like a game that forces you to play one certain way, not to emntion i had the ps2 version which was the inferior one.

That is my shame, don't know how I could call myself a gamer :( .

My brother bought Enter The Matrix.. I never got round to trying it. Path Of Neo offered a few hours on entertainment before you realised how repetitive it got and the easiest combos to defeat any agent.

Recent games include GTA4 and then miles behind that would be titles like Resistance and Motorstorm. Had my frickin' PS3 since the UK launch day and got those two at the same time - still never finished them. ^_^

1. Socom 2 (Honestly, does anyone actually play through these games?)
2. Socom Combined Assault (Same^)
3. Halo 2 (Bored out of my mind.)
4. Star Wars: Bounty Hunter (The jet pack has a life of about 5 seconds.. Yeah... Okay.)
5. Any race car game (They are so long they get horribly boring before you even get to 50%)

I'd say that's about my list. At least, the ones I can think of.
