Special items Digital Camera
Bandana (infinite ammo Solid Snake) Complete the game. Get 30 dog tags in Tanker. Blue WIG (infinite oxygen Raiden) Collect all the dog tags. Brown WIG (infinite ammo Raiden) Complete normal mode with more than 100 dog tags. Orange WIG (infinite grip Raiden) Complete the game with 150 dog tags. Stealth
Weapons USP Suppressor in Tanker Complete the game once. On your second playthrough you can find the suppressor in the crow’s nest. Secrets and Tips Shaver Get the shaver in the area where you start the Plant chapter with Raiden. Later in a cutsequence he will give it to Pliskin. Even more later in the game, Solid Snake will have shaved his beard. Sunglasses Complete the game twice. On your third playtrough, Snake and Raiden will be wearing sunglasses. Camera in cutscenes Press R1 to zoom in and use the right analog stick to move the camera. Codec fun: Move L3 and R3 analog sticks to move the character's heads. Press on one of the sticks and the faces will zoom in. Snake’s and Raiden’s thoughts Press the R1 or R2 while Snake or Raiden is listening to someone and you can hear their thoughts. Computer Room While in the Computer Room, look at the walls in FPV (first person view). You'll see the photo of Charlie's Angels that was on the cover of FHM magazine. Control Projector In Tanker Hold #2, press the remote by the projector to change the screen that the image is on. Do it enough and a movie of a girl will appear and the marines will be distracted. Faster pull-ups You can do pull-ups a lot faster by doing a drop catch. A drop catch is when you are hanging from a ledge and then drop down, catching the ledge below. This is equivalent of 10 pull-ups. Hideo Kojima Dog Tag Information When first playing as Raiden enter the name ''Hideo Kojima'' into the first node. It will automatically put in Hideo Kojima's blood type, birthday, sex and nationality. Yoji Shinkawa Dog Tag Info When first playing as Raiden enter the name “Yoji Shinkawa” into the first node. It will automatically put in his blood type, birthday, sex and nationality. Guards looking at girls.
In the shell 1 core, go to B2. In the main computer area, there are posters of previous Metal Gear games and other games by Hideo Kojima. Girl posters You can find pictures of Japanese girls in the lockers in the Tanker. Miniature Vulcan Raven At some point in the Tanker you’ll first she a little cutsequence with a shadow. Go further and you’ll see it’s a miniature of Vulcan Raven from Metal Gear Solid. Fire at it or jump on it and he with fire back with little plastic balls. Dog tag information Use the binoculars to identify the names of the person on the dog tag. The name of the guard will appear above him. Slow down the timer in Tanker mission During the tanker mission, while the timer is running, you can temporarily stop it by knocking out one of the two guards running the cameras on the platforms in Hold No. 3. Happy Birthday If your birthday (which you enter at the first node in the Plant) matches with the same date set in your PS2 you'll be greeted by a Happy Birthday picture and a birthday cake. Hostages in Shell 1 Core B1 Hold The hostages change depending on the time Raiden meets Ninja after the Fatman battle and the internal clock of your PS2. 0:00AM - 0:59AM: all Jennifer 1:00PM - 1:59PM: all old man 10:00PM 10:59PM: all old lady Girl videoclip in Arsenal Gear As you wait for Solid Snake in Arsenal Gear, a video will start playing on your radar. To watch the whole clip, don’t answer/use your Codec. Nasty seagulls If you shoot enough seagulls they'll come and crap on you or come and attack you. Higher grip level Press the R2 and L2 buttons simultaneously to do a pull-up. Do this 100 times and your grip level will increase. Maximum is level 3. Travel with cardboard boxes Take a cardboard box to Strut E: Parcel Room. Get in the box, and jump onto the conveyor belt, in the top right-hand corner of the room. You will be transported to a different area, based on the box you used. Funny convos with directional microphone

Shooting, or going too near him, will make the alert noise and Solid will run away faster. If you codec Pliskin afterwards there will be a funny conversation about it. Taking photographs for Otacon Send the following photos to Otacon and you'll get some funny responses. You'll know if you got the right shot or not if you hear a little beeping sound or if Snake will go, "Hmm".
In Tanker episode if you take pictures of the sleeping Olga, a conversation about Meryl will start. Fooling the tengu's After the "interrigation" scene where you can find Raiden naked, if you get a guard suspicious, you can return to the "torture bed" and "assume the position". Once the guard sees that you're still all bound, he will return to his post, this does not work in Alert mode I believe. Wet cardboard box While in the tanker, if you use the wet cardboard box and get shot, the box will just breakup. Rose will not save your game if you.. Rose will not make a save for you, if you shoot the seagulls, harm Emma, or the hostages. She will also be upset, if you look at Emma long enough through the window before meeting with her for the first time. Vamp in ending cutscene In the ending where Solid Snake meets up with Raiden, use R1 to see Vamp standing near a yellow car. Other In game RESET Hold R1, R2, L1, L2, select, start. Boss Survival Complete the game once Demo Theater: Complete the game once European Extreme difficulty Complete the game once I obviously didn’t put in everything. Shooting, or going too near him, will make the alert noise and Solid will run away faster. You can then later ask about this incident from Solid. There are also a bunch of funny codec conversations when you're looking at a toilet, or in a womens bathroom. In tanker episode, if you approach the RAY hangar via the "airducts", or whatever they are from the right side, you will be able to climb on a platform where you can see Ocelot standing near RAY. Taking a picture of Ocelot will freak Otacon out when you show it to him. Look there for a second time and he's gone. When you have the microphone as Raiden in Big Shell and meet up with the parrot. You can go to the first person mode and if you say "you must be ames!" multiple times, the parrot will start saying this as well. In Tanker episode if you take pictures of the sleeping Olga, a conversation about Meryl will start. There's also a couple funny things when taking pictures of several posters (Especially the male posters) and of the Marine commandant and showing them to Otacon. In the Vamp shootout when Emma goes behind the first column, you can point the microphone at her and you can hear her pondering on several aspects about Raiden. If you call Emma right after this, a conversation about what she thought behind the column will ensue. You have to wreck 24 RAY units (There are 25 in total) before Raiden will give up and sais "It's no use.". Funny that he quits right on the final one, eh? Also a small edit, you don't have to SHOOT the raven figure. You can also just drop right on top of it and it will start firing those balls. Guards looking at girly pictures: Once you get into the section just after the Raven model, there's a guy on the second floor, who keeps looking through binoculars at a seemingly open space (nowhere to stand or anything), but if you look where he does with the camera, you can see that he was looking at a girl poster all the way over the gap. Also, for some reason if you shoot either of the two posters in this area, there are small explosions that set off Alert phase. In the computer room of the shell 1 core, there's a guard who keeps switching between two consoles. Follow him (without being seen) and look over his shoulder. He opens some girly pictures. The Parrot: Spray it with the coolant and it says "This sucks" Shoot it and it will say things like "It's him! Someone get over here" I see you already have the "You must be Ames" one. The parrot frequently says "Top of locker, top of locker", if you look on top of one of the lockers on the left side, it has a stash of books (the porn mags). 3 hit combo the locker door to get them down. Photo fun with Otacon: If send the following photos to Otacon, you'll get some...interesting responses. You'll know if you got the right shot or not because either there be a little beeping noise or Snake will go "hmmm". In the room with the Vulcan Raven model, there's a locker with a poster showing a male chest. Photo it! Photograph any of the girl posters around. In the room where the guy comes out after fixing the door and reports on his radio, there's a poster of a girl with a hand on her hip (which looks as if it's her own) but if you close the locker next to it, there's another poster of a man reaching across (making look like it's actually his hand) Photograph this! In the first room of marines, stand just to the left of the projector and photograph the projector screen. It could take a few attempts, but get it right and you see a Kojima ghost. If you get the ghost, send it to otacon! In the second room of marines, there's a guy roughly in the middle that isn't wearing any trousers. Photo him! I see you already have the Ocelot one up there. Photograph the marine commandant repeatedly (the more you do it, the funnier it gets, up to about the fifth one, then he starts repeating himself) Funny Codec calls: On the tanker, open one of the lockers with the girly pictures early on, stand close and look at the picture in FPV and you'll notice the screen is bobbing a little more than usual. Call Otacon (whilst still in FPV) to find out why. Save the game enough times on the Tanker section and eventually Mei Ling will make an appearance. Hide in a locker on the tanker and call Otacon. As Raiden, go into the mens bathroom, stand right infront of a urinal, look down in FPV and call colonel (you might have to call him a couple of times to get it) Equip a book (porn mag) and then hide in a toilet stall. Call colonel. Go into the women's bathroom (before meeting Stillman) and call colonel. Then proceed to open the stall doors and looking in with FPV and then call colonel again (the second part might need to be tried more than once). Once you've got Emma, punch her then call her immediately. Call her whilst choking her. knock her down and then lay ontop of her and call her. Knock her out and call her. Each one of these will be different (all will be very short) Also try calling Otacon after these. D-mic: I see you already have the Johnny Sasaki convo with Emma up, but that's only behind the second tower. Point it at Emma behind the first tower and she'll talk to herself about Raiden (and his hair). You can also call her afterwards for an extra laugh. |
