I bought MGS3: Subsistence and it had this seal over it. It was some sort of cling film seal, not the usual plastic seal. I also imported MGS4 LE from Gamestop, and it had the same cling film seal over it as well. Are these official seals?

I have no idea what you're talking about. Maybe it would help if you posted a picture? |

I've opened the seal for MGS3 Subsistence, but not MGS4. MGS4 is buried deep away, and if I do get it out, my camera sucks. Haven't you seen cling film before? Here's a picture that I found Edited by Ninjax, Jul 6 2008, 07:11 PM.

That's just the stuff it gets wrapped in at the pressing plant, whether or not you could call it "official" or not is debatable, I guess it is. |

Is that how it is when it was originally released? And when do new games not come with a seal? |

Yes, some games do come like that when they're released, usually it's just a thick, clear plastic wrapping though. Sometimes when shops don't have live stock on the shopfloor they keep the discs in a draw behind the desk, so they're not sealed. |
