Since there isn't any topics about this I thought I could make one since I just got out of game where my team did everything wrong and we lost 6-0 because most of the players seemed to be too eager to run on the enemy fireline, some might have even painted bullseyes on their foreheads. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I use these tactics and I allways have a positive score when the match ends, even though I suck aiming with the analogs: 1. Weapon damage - All weapons which have at least a C-rank damage can kill with 1 hit to the head. 2. Crouch! - When you crouch you make a lot less noise (little to no noise if you move in a walking speed) also you become immune to enemy's standing CQC-moves, you are harder to see from a distance, you can hear better when you don't hear your own footsteps and you can see better when you move a little slower. If you could get an award from crouching I would definately get one. 3. Camera - since this game can be played in 3rd person view use the camera to your advantage, you can peek behind corners without exposing yourself to the enemy and you can also turn it 180 degrees and see if enemy chases you when you run away. Use the R3 to get left and right-view with the over-the-shoulder movement to get a better view. 4. 1 vs 1 - when you are fighting against someone 1-on-1 usually the one who gets the first shot gets the last one too. So listen to the sounds he makes and use the camera to look behind corners. If he is aiming in your direction, do not jump out of cover unless you are certain you can get an easy headshot, it's better to wait when he is looking to some other direction or follow him (use crouch!) when he goes to some other direction. 5. 1 vs many - when enemy moves in a group you are pretty sure to hear when they come since some of them usually just run and make a lot of noise. Don't go face to face but try to get shots from their flanks. When you kill one then run away from the others since they will propably go to the direction you shot their friend from, find a safe place then again try to outsmart them by getting to their flanks again. In this game numbers don't matter too much, 1 player can easily win a 1vs3 match if he is at least decent player and invents tactics quickly. Even better if the enemy doesn't move in a group at all. 5. Running - Only run when you need to retreat quickly or you need to get some place before the enemy, also it's usually good idea to do an ukemi roll behind corners, if there's a CQC'er he can't grab you when you roll behind him, his side or even better knock him over with the roll. 6. SOP - Still many people just ignore SOP even though it's really useful. the SOP is good because you can get information about the other teams positions, your friends current status and you can see if your friend is in a CQC-hold and save him. It's even easy to start, just press the triangle button near a friend. I put up a SOP-link whenever a friend comes near me. Also the SOP-skills use only 1 slot even on lvl 3, and they make the game easier when you can see your enemy a short while through walls when he hit you (NARC) or you hit him (MONOMANIA). 7. CQC - This should be used in narrow paths and from behind corners, really good place for CQC is the building in Midtown Maelstrom. Also the standing CQC-grab has longer grab-range than the crouch one. 8. Snipers - never run on a snipers fire-line, the odds are that he gets a shot to your head before you can fire a single round. Instead use their limited view to your advantage like shoot from the left side of street instead of right where he is aiming at, even better if you can sneak up on him since he propably won't notice anything. (but be careful! Professional snipers have traps set up, so they will know you are coming if you step on their traps). 9. Grenades - I personally prefer Stun grenades or Locater-grenades. Stun grenades blind the enemy if you can throw the nade in their sight (in best case scenario it can make them unconcious.) Locater-grenades are good when you are pretty sure there is an enemy behind that corner but want to know his exact position. Normal grenades are good also but don't expect those to finish the enemy, they can actually recover from grenade blast really quickly and shoot you in the head. 10. Traps - You should put magazines and claymores in places where the enemies can't see them well (stairs or behind corners.) 11. Survive! - This is an essential rule in the Team Deathmatch if you allways have more deaths than kills, then you are doing something wrong. When your team is leading in points you don't have any reason to attack unless you are killhungry. So just pick a spot and hold the enemy there. 12. Group movement - When you are moving in a group use SOP and don't aim in the same direction your friend aims, but try to get all places covered where the enemy might come from (he guards the stairs while you guard the window in the M.M-building). Good thing if you can get everyone to crouch so the group won't make a lot of noise. Also positive comments through chat makes moving in a squad even more enjoyable. Feel free to add more tips if you know anything useful.

1. Conserve ammo. I personally use the AK102, which has 120 bullets... sounds like a lot, but if you don't use them properly, you might be in a stare down with someone and start hearing the dreaded click from an empty weapon. 2. Don't reload in the middle of a dogfight. Instead, switch over to the pistol and do your best to deliver the final blow. If you don't deliver the kill with the pistol, roll around a corner, reload, while running backwards. 3. NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON THE ENEMY. Plain and simple. 4. Hiding. Find spots that work well with your camo... and don't spring out til' the enemy is past you completely. So many times people have hid on me, popped out while i was running near them, I turn, and headshot. 5. Go with an automatic sniper. It works well since its good with a scope... and if someone is closing in on you, back out to 3rd person view, and pop em' in the face. 6. Cardboard boxes. When you want to hide in a cradboard box, dispose of one that you see, and then take its place. I personally remember where a lot of the cardboard boxes are, and I will shoot any strange placed ones before I get anywhere near it. 7. Beware of shadows. Watch for shadows, they can give away you, and your enemy. 8. Knock on walls to guide someone into a trap. Works everytime, and you can't tell exactly which wall was knocked on, so you'll get them guessing, and thats when you strike. 9. Communicate. You see an enemy, tell your friend. You know your friend is running into an ambush, tell him to fall back. Is your friend about to start oogling a playboy and be sniped, tell him to Hold it. 10. Listen to your partners. They are there for a reason, and take advantage of the fact that a friend is looking out for you. It'll help the team, and your score. 11. Try to avoid walking on metal. Even when crouching, while you walk, your still loud, and its a dead give away to someone like me. 12. Kill cam. After you kill someone, keep moving. You can go back to the place you killed them, but don't sit still, because that just makes you a target right away when they come back. Whenever I die, I watch to see if the man who killed me is camping somewhere thinking they are hidden. When I respawn, its lights out for the camper. 13. SOP. Start of the match holding triangle. Try to get all your teammates linked. It lets you see them through walls, when they engage an enemy, where and when they die, etc. 14. Aim for the head. I can't stress it enough. Headshots save lives... namely yours. If you ever have a chance to aim just a little higher to put a bullet through the cranium, do it. 15. Crouch walk, don't run. Stealth is the name of the game, and letting your enemies hear your pitter-patter, is just asking for death. 16. Utilize your grenades. They will save you from ladder campers, people hidden under things or vents, knocking your opponents down. Grenades are important. End of story. 17. Rolling. Rolling is a must to anyone that gets too close for comfort. If someone is sneaking up on you, and you're not wielding a light weapon, your at a disadvantage. Quickly spin and roll into your enemy, and get them while they are down. 18. Barrel rolling outside of the barrel. Don't do this too often, but if your in a prone lay down position, don't bother standing up to run to the other side of a street for a different view. Just barrel roll it. 19. Staying down. Somebody uses CQC on you to get you down. Instead of wasting your time getting back up, start firing while on the ground. Also, if you are hit by a grenade, don't touch anything. Sometimes your enemy might think your down for the count. Let them approach, and then surprise attack. This should be good for now. I've gotten ten kills in a row twice, and my first two rules were the most important in them. I've been forced down to pistol to get my last 4-5 kills. If your down to a pistol, try to stun someone with your knife, and take their weapon. If its not possible.. pistols work pretty darn good connecting to the face. |

Nice tactics, didn't really see the reason why people switch to pistol after having an automatic but I see why, Also is there any flaws with the automatic sniper? Most people including me use the SVD but I don't know why just used to it I guess. |

No... none that I can think of. Its only 750 Drebin points as well, and I always equip a laser site. Great weapon. Pull the trigger a little harder for a little longer, and you can do a quick double shot, just in case you believe you wont get a headshot on the first shot. |

Good way to use the pistol in tandem with your primary weapon is to use the recall mode and have it as second weapon, that way when you run out of rifle ammo just click R2 and start shooting. Snipers are way too cheap in the game in my opinion compared to their firepower (DSR is fine though), snipers should cost at least 3x more than they cost now. SVD 500 DP and M14ebr 750 DP WTH!? even the p90 is more expensive (2000 DP) and a lot less effective. Snipers are powerful, accurate and cheap. |

hmm actually i found these tactics on myself and i find they are very useful BUT (there's a BUT always :D) if im 1 on 1 with someone and i use for example an M4 Custom i ALWAYS aim for the head but when the enemy moves quickly around i cant aim well and always get killed and second when i get in a fight i always think thet while i move im a harder target but my aim then gets shit cuz while moving u cant aim well so my question is even if moving sometimes is a life-saver should i stay still while aiming and what should i do to make more headshots while in a combat with someone who moves alot and i cant actually aim well and when im in a fight should i shoot while im standing or should i crouch and and i think thats it for now :p

I recommend crouching. Means your head moves and means they have to re-aim. As well as this crouch walking whilst aiming is more accurate than normal walking whilst aiming. |

This is mine, I love speed and to getting the drop on the enemy, my staples are: Monomainia Skill (expose enemies that you have given damage to for about 3 secs) Speed Skill (run faster) CQC+ (in close quaters it's much better to choke hold or slam the unaware enemy. P90+E.locator and in options switch the L2 to go to support weapons. CARDBOARD BOX (people still fall for this trick regularly I really can't believe it's overlooked so much. When you start up a game switch to E.locator and run forward while picking out cover you may use. Choosing the e. locator also makes you run faster htan if you were carring a gun. Immeadiatly when you go to blind cornor chuck an E.loactor in so noone will have the drop on you. With weapon don't aim directly for the head, aim for the upper chest region, the gun's recoil will msot of the time kick up that few inches that gives you a headshot. Be patient but don't camp. If your team is losing there is no sense in running wildly at the enemy, Just sit back for 2 mins in a quiet palce and let the enemy seek you, you'll be able to even out the score quite nicely. Those are mine atleast and people who paly with me can vouch that these skills help our team alot. Don't forget to link up. if your close to death you never know which ally could be close by. If you managed to get a few shots landed on an enemy he will pick it up and may come to your rescue. |
