I know that Kojima said that 4 would be the last game but you know how game companies are..so, if they make a 5 what would you like it to be about..personally I would enjoy a Twin Snakes treatment of the first two games or a game about Liquid's black ops or possibly The Boss... opinions? |

Payton said that the next MGS game might stare Big Boss after Portables Ops. He did not say though that this would be called MGS5 nor did he say it's confirmed. He just threw out that idea, which to me is the only logical way to go without pissing me off. =D

i'd like to see a NES metal gear remake myself. instead of the main character being OLD snake, it can be young snake  lol

Yes, except Metal Gear for the Nintendo was crap, they cut half the story out, and I'm not even sure if Metal Gear made an appearance in it. |

How can you say that the game is crap if you never played it? I thought the game was great. Probably would have kicked ass if I bought it when it first came out when I was a kid. But I played it a few months ago. Its a 2D version is all. Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake was the best though. Edited by dJdC, Jul 2 2008, 02:15 AM.

I did play it, about fifteen years ago, so you'll have to excuse my bad memory, I just think fighting a massive computer was a bit...lame, poor excuse for a game if you ask me, the MSX version was one of the best releases of the 80s, even Snake's Revenge was better than Metal Gear for the Nintendo, at least it was a new title that didn't completely destroy a perfectly good game. |

Hm.. MGS3 shouldn't even have been about Big Boss.. and now maybe there's going to be a third game about him? I'd hate seeing that. To me MGS3 should've been a remake of MG2 (or at least some history about Solid Snake before MG2) or a history of Raiden, who was the main character of MGS2. They should've let Kojima expand his new vision, the one he had about MGS2. HK should've just did what he want, after all he's the boss/creator, and not let noob-Raiden-haters decide what happens next. They could've made back-story game on Big Boss now, after MGS4 where we actually Spoiler: click to toggle .What we have now is, Raiden is back to normal and Solid Snake "retired" after only being in one full game on the Playstation, and those characters are now finished. Weren't they the main characters before? Shame.. Everything from MGS3 up until now is fan-service to me. So.. No MGS5 for me. If they do it, they should kick whoever helped writing the storyline for MGS4 and bring the "old" Hideo Kojima back. But I'd rather see him making an entire new game, not about Metal Gear Solid. If they do create a new metal gear game i expect it will be a new cast of characters. I mean as MGS4 stated, War has changed. They could create something along the lines of a of that, like Ghost Recon style (the squad based tactical shooter). It would let them create something new. new world. new storylines. everything would be made from the ground up. |

MGS5 should have 2 huge acts that together take an average of 40 hours to complete. Act one should be a remake of MG1 and yes you guessed it, act 2 should be a remake of MG2SS. |

I'd like to explore Liquid and Solidus just a little more deeply. With solidus we know he was a president and the adopted father of Raiden. As fro Liquid, well we don't even know his real name.  Other then that the only people that really could continue the story are Sunny andSpoiler: click to toggle but if they don't do Liquid and solidus then a new start would be the best COA.

The timing for Snake Eater was all wrong. The way I see it, Guns of the Patriots should have been MGS3, and Snake Eater should have been MGS4 as an insight into the world of Big Boss's career in the 60s. But, of course, all the little fanboys hated Raiden and had to petition Kojima-sama to change his art, and he did because, like any good writer/artist, he knows that his work is the world's once it leaves his hands. |

I agree bringin him back in human form kinda screwed it up, but i dont think the ending wouldve worked any other way. It was a good character brought back to tell us a bit before dying. |

IF they were to make another game (I think they should let it rest), I would want Raiden, or RAT PT 01 storyline. I wouldnt mind Big Boss, but id rather one of those two. |
