Ok, I'm gonna sound like a total idiot, but here goes: I never had ANY intention of picking up a PS3, but news that MGS4 was finally coming out sold me on the idea of getting one. So June rolls along, and I couldn't help myself: I went ahead and preordered the MGS4 Collector's Edition. June 12th comes and goes, I get my hands on MGS4, but still don't have a PS3 to play it on. Instead, I resort to playing (religiously) at a friend's house. Well, finally, after a juicy paycheck (and a rather generous raise), I decided it is time to buy a PS3. Even though I already own a copy of MGS4, there's no doubt in my mind that the MGS4 bundle is one hell of a deal. That's my problem: there aren't any. ANYWHERE! Gamestop doesn't have any. Amazon itself doesn't have any in stock. Amazon "vendors" are jacking up the prices ridiculously high. Best Buy is sold out. Circuit City has them backordered to hell. Walmart doesn't even have them listed anymore.... When the bundle came out, I was told by a Best Buy employee that this wasn't a limited edition thing, and that more would come, but now things are looking pretty bleak. Anyone know anywhere that might have it in stock? (no Ebay, I'm looking specifically for the "brand new = $499" tag). |

Try some independent stores. Like Ma and Pa type stores. Independently owned game stores. There aren't any in the chain stores where I live either. But those kinds of shops usually have one or two. Those kinds of places are where I buy all my game stuff. |
