I'm stuck in the torture chamber in MGS. I've tried a bunch of methods and cant seem to get it. Anyone have a really easy/good solution? |

I don't know of any technique but to just use your fastest finger and press the hell out of that button! I personally use my index finger. |

Try to use the memory card. Using it's corner move the card back and forth. Or put a sock in your hand (not a smelly one cause you'll have a problem then. Hehe...) and move your finger quickly on and off the button like what happens with the memory card. Thats all the tricks I know but I prefer to do it 'manually'. Using my fingers. |

The key is to not raise your finger high up after pressing the button. This may sound slightly, but if you tense your arm muscles,place your finger over the O button & shake your finger like its vibrating it works well........ I may not have explained that well but it honestly works. |

Thanks. I'll try these later. I got through one torture scene the normal way after like 10 tries. and though Yay its over. Then they called me back in. So I tried like 20 more times. I eventually gave up, and haven't played since then. Which was like a month ago. |

Ha thats true. Personally though, I wouldn't mind letting her die as long as I get the nice stealth camo. But if you're playing it the canon way, then yeah, don't give up! |

Personally, I found the torture way easier in Twin Snakes then in the original... Try a coin too, like MGS.'s memory card trick, it works simular. |

Yeah. I've played MGS1 a couple of days ago and I thought about the same thing. But it's not only 'emotional' but also a matter of a canon perspective. Meryl's ending is the canon ending for MGS1 and that's why she's still alive in MGS4. We replay the games in order to remember certain facts/events that happened in them. It is 'necessary' for us, if you may, to select the canon endings (even though this refers only to MGS1). |

it did make me feel bad about letting meryl die, but that just helped me later on. as for the button mashing, i always force my muscles into a spasmic state and it helps as your muscles jerk alot, and dont lift your finger up more than a centimetre. |

Even though Ocelot warns you about using autofire, he didn't react when I tried it once, so I suggest trying that. The only real other way is practice. I could never do a single session of torture when I first got the game, but now I can take the whole lot (waiting until Fox frees me) without needing to rest my arm any longer than the codec chats last. |

Use the memory card. The best and easiest method. The memory card has smooth edges, so you won't damage the button. |

My advice: Learn the way of the spoon. Seriously. I used it for getting past the torture part in MGS2 on higher difficulties - it's frikkin' impossible trying to button bash it. I swear by the spoon. |
