They have done for ages.  http://tinyurl.com/64985q (link goes to a drive on play.com) However that drive only plays Blu-Rays, but tbh... blank discs already cost in excess of £15-20 each, so they're not exactly as disposable as we have become accustomed to with CDs and DVDs. Give it time! |

Give it... hmm, say 4 years or so? By then we'll all be using Blu Ray discs like they were CD's/DVD's, and Sony/Toshiba will we well underway with designing some quad-layer discs, most likely.... or indeed thinking about the Blu Ray successor. |

I don't think blu-ray discs will become a standard, having to have a HDTV to use it to its fullest potential is just too much to ask imo. |

HD has been around a lot longer than people think too, I've got a Dell 20" Monitor from 2001 and its full HD (1080i) capable. Its only been realeased into the mainstream recently. Krypton is right, everyone will have one in a few years, and Standard Def will be a thing of the past. Consoles and PC's will be HD only, HD DVD's will be the only type you can buy etc. |

Nope, still on DVDs me, I see HD and Bluray a little too expensive to consider, plus I'm currently job hunting so I have no income therefore no money to spend. EDIT: Got some pics of my newly built PC now My gigantic CM case  A side view:  A close-up of the innards, including my lovely huge CPU cooler: Fan was spinning on this pic so I'm pleasantly surprised it took a good pic of it mid spin. Aye, mines a GTS though, not a GTX, but I think its a fine card and I run anything I've tried on it so far, just wanna try Diablo 3 with it when it is released

Oh right the GTS, I've got one in my XPS 700 but again, its the 640MB version but its older technology on the GPU
