Wide take-up of the new version would further boost the market share of the browser which is currently used by about 15% of net users. With the release, Firefox developer Mozilla is attempting to set a record for the most downloads over 24 hours. "It's a global effort to make history," said Paul Kim, head of marketing at Mozilla. Metal Gear Solid	I downloaded Firefox 3 and installed it but it keeps crashing whenever I start it... I've tried pretty much everything, even completely uninstalling then reinstalling it and it won't work. I'm not really in the mood to endlessly try fixing this so it's back to Firefox 2 for now I guess. I got my download in for the World Record at least.

Anybody else? When I got my new computer I naturally went and downloaded firefox...didn't notice it was new...didn't even notice until now when I just saw this thread. And to be honest I don't see anything different....whats new?

Just checked now before I post this - it's on 80MB, one tab again. But tbh I don't notice the leaks unless I had half a dozen or more tabs open on v2; during one such time it leaked to over 500MB. I wondered why WoW was shit slow!
