Hi im new in mgo so please i want to know some tactics for what to do for example when im using mainly cqc and the stunning knife - like what should i do - where should i wait for opponennts to ambush and kill the because im quite a noob and i get killed A LOT cuz i dunno what to do...sometimes i get lucky and nail lots of kills but most of the times... Im worse in the bloodbath map and the middle east map i dont know cool hide-ambushing places so im like a moving target and i always get killed lol And the other thing is the most important actually - when i see an enemy what hsould i do in the following cases 1.I see him and i try to catch him ina a cqc hold but he sees me dodges and starts shooting with an assult rifle 2.I see the target but he isnt crouchin (i mean he is running fast) and i wish if u are kind enough to share good tactics (im ok with that i dont know all the good spots for ambush but when i enter combat what should i do) Thanks in advance guys ... See ya in the battlefield i hope :p |

- Well first you should use CQC in narrow corridors and jump on the enemy from behind a corner excellent place would be the house in the midtown maelstrom. - Standing Grabs have longer range than crouch Grabs. - You should use pistol for CQC attacks that way if he gets away you can instatly shoot him or you can use him as a shield and shoot his friend. - Crouch a lot because it makes less sound, but I suggest standing up when you are about to grab someone or not if he is crouching also (Standing CQC can't grab crouching opponent). - Camp a lot, but not in the exact same spot switch places a little. - Use the camera to your advantage like you can look is anyone in a room before going in. these pointers should get you to a good start. Also you could just quickly jump out of cover and spray some bullets at the enemy's forehead with a weapon when he gets close enough. I'll see you if you are european.

Does anybody really find CQC that useful in online play? For the most part I've had plentiful of people rush me with CQC tactics...but I've just blown their face in before they could do any real damage. Even though they called themselves so called "masters of the art" I didn't see much use of it...other then at the end of a game when people like to gang rape ya. |

Well I've only found CQC useful at certain moments, and its definitely not one of those skills I would use level 3 with, it takes up too many skill slots and its not worth that. |

Pretty good with cqc. most people don't use it right, what you do is wait for the enemy to start reloading then rush him, you don't run madly into someone who's firing at you because that'll jsut end badly. |

Thats when most tried to attack me during reloading...most the time I stick close to something I can run around though...its funny cause when I start reloading I start running around a piller and have people chase me with a knife. Then when I'm done I just turn and shoot em in the face. Edit: for a few spelling errors...damn I'm to tired to be typing. Edited by solidfox, Jul 5 2008, 02:29 PM.

Well the thing is when I personally am the one reloading and someone's coming after me, I just switch to pistol, crouch, and then CQC them before they can do anything to me. I don't bother reloading the weapon until I know he's knocked out.

Those people are either unexperienced or don't have the sprinter perk. When I only equip my knife I run alot faster than anyone else since I'm on level two. Running straight ahead makes you an instant target so what I do is side jump a bit to avoid bullets while purposely making the enemy empty a whole clip, sometimes I get lucky and that was their last. Most of the times though I only do that If I'm out of ammo. The only real time I use cqc is if I look around the corner and see an enemy running by. No doubt cqc makes it more personal as it really does piss alot of people off XD but also a plays a mind game on the enemy. Most times that same person is gonna come back to that very same location and look for you not treallly thinking that I could be there waiting with a few E.locators and my P90 .

sometimes i think that mgo sucks. they based it off of mgs4 so they wouldn't have to create new interactions and gameplay. the only reason i level up is do to the slightest chance that it will be worth using the master skill since it takes up too many slots. the slots are stupid. you should be able to use like twice as many slots as you can. so even if you get the drop on someone it never means that you've got them. to level up just go to a level up room. CQC Is really useful, if you know how to use it to your advantage, such a slient kill, silent knockout or just to piss somebody off :p Sometimes you cant shoot enemies who are close to you, so you would need to CQC them, and use their body at your advantage. |

CQC by itself sucks. I can't tell you how many times I have gotten out of choke hold. At level 3 cqc no one will be able to get out of your choke hold but at lvl 1 experienced players will get out. You will also spend to much time choking them and likely get shot also. With that said use your KNIFE. Hide around corners waiting for people crouching. Throw them down with cqc, they will be laying on the ground. After you throw them down you will go back to a crouch if you were crouching before. Stun them with the knife by holding L and pressing R2. You can either tap R and it will slice them to death or you can go into first person knife with triangle+Hold L and look at them and stab them. I prefer slicing because you don't have to waist that time going into first person. If you are out of charge for stunning throw them down and slice them immediately by tapping R. Make sure you have blades and cqc skills equipped for that maneuver. I have about 300 kills from that and it has never failed when I'm one on one with a guy. The key is you never give the guy a chance to do anything. |
