I heard around the forum about some kind of statues you can collect to unlock items. Can someone fill me in, I have no clue what they are or how to obtain them. Only thing remotely similar are the dolls I collected from Laughing Octopus. I have those but if there's something more can someone help out? |

Stamina-kill: - the Haven Troopers in the Boss-Fight in Act 1; - the Beast-forms of the 4 members of the B&B Unit (Octopus, Raven, Wolf, Mantis). You can then collect 5 statues during(!) the battles where you beat the beauty-forms. And if you stamina-kill the Beauties as well, you get their face-camouflage after the battle. - Haven Troopers: in the parking lot where you say goodbye to Meryl and the Rat Patrol. - Octopus: On the bed in the top-right-room. - Raven: Top floor of the building. - Wolf: Not far behind your starting place (8 o'clock-ish.) - Mantis: In front of the door you came into the room from. If you collect all 5 you will be rewarded with the Solar Gun upon completing the game. It's in your weapons-inventory when you meet up with the Mk. II-drone in a next playthrough. For the record: stamina-kill = defeating using tranquilizer-ammunition. In a Boss-Battle: the stamina-bar is the one below the Boss' life-bar. (Psyche-kill is more accurate, but 'stamina' stuck from MGS3.) (The 'statues' you mention are the dolls from the Screaming Mantis-Battle.) Edited by Ocelotzilla, Jul 7 2008, 05:38 PM.

They're not "statues" but small action figures like these... ![]() You automatically give them to Sunny as toys and she'll display them in her room in the Nomad. You can go up there and see them anytime you want, limited to 'Mk. II/III time' during MISSION BRIEFINGS, of course. Edited by Solid Lifters, Jul 5 2008, 08:17 PM.

I'm only getting them my current playthrough, so I don't know this: do they also transfer (like weapons) to the next playthroughs? |

If you don't collect all 5 in a single run, no worries. Data is saved on which ones you have. If you collect all 5 eventually, in multiple playthroughs, you get the legendary Solar Gun.

just a note here. i managed to acheaive the wolf statue buy only using the mosin magnet once on the wolf, this made the stamina level lower than the health, and then i finished her off using the grenade launcher with leathal ammo. this took the health and stamina down in equal parts. so when the final shot was fired it wiped the stamina out just before the health, and this resulted in a none leathal defeat. and to my suprise the statue was there. this was on my 3rd run through and i was going for the no kill no alert goal. so i was happy. |
