Which major MGS game do you think has the greatest gameplay? I have yet to play MGS4 but out of the original trilogy I would have to say MGS3. Knowing how hidden you were from the camo index was a great great advantage. Also combat was fine tuned and Subsistence's updated 3d camera was profitable. Vote according to gameplay not graphics or story! |

MGS 4. It's the only game in the series that I play for the gameplay. There's just something about the controls that makes the game insanely easy to pick up and play. |

Yeah I really can't wait to play MGS4. MGS could be frustrating because of clunkiness in Snake's actions. I always struggled in sneaking up and strangling people. In MGS2 the levels were a bit too cramped for me and I hated the rooms where guards would report their situation. I loved the camo in MGS3 and I liked the ability to aim down the barrel of the gun. Also the CQC came in handy quite a bit on and off. But having to cure yourself via the Survival Viewer could be sort of a hassle, especially in fights against major enemies. |

I definitely think MGS 4 has the best gameplay, but I make it a draw between MGS 2 and MGS 4 for me. Considering the gap between two generations of gaming consoles. I also prefer MGS 2 above MGS 3, because I didn't like the Camo system (always getting in and out of the menu, which they fixed perfectly in MGS 4 with the OctoCamo) and I felt like the moves and everything in MGS 2 were worked out close to perfection, where as in MGS 3 I didn't have that feeling at all. MGS 2 seemed more fluent to me, in terms of gameplay. |

I am going to go with 3 and 4. 3 was a complete revelation. The random AI and the Camo index was just superb. THe camera could get alittle annoying though. 4 basically had the superb gameplay of 3 and fixed all the small niggly faults. Super game play. I just wish it was longer, like 3. |

MGS 4 no doubt. I don't think anyone can deny that Ryan Payton did a great job with the controls. Edited by Splitter Snake, Jul 6 2008, 05:26 AM.

Before MGS4, then MGS gameplay king was MGS3. Now MGS4 knocked it of the throne. |
