Hello! So I've just completed MGS4 for the third time, this time getting no alerts to gain the Stealth camo. I now, just for fun, want to run through the game as quickly as possible (my current record is 3 hours 21 mins) hoping to easily smash that time with the aid of the stealth camo. Okay, so I start Act 1 and run through it pretty quickly - no real idea how long but couldnt be more than 20 mins. I get to the end and the completion time says 2 hours 10 mins - huh?! I literally completed the game, started a new one and finished that act in the space of around 30 mins, so how is this possible? Basically my question is: Does using the stealth camo affect your playtime (i.e. add 2 hours on) or has something just majorly screwed up here? Thanks! |

It doesn't, I've no clue why it said that. I've used to the stealth and it never added on time. |

Must be some kind of glitch then? :S As I say I literally finished the last game, started a new one and did act 1 in about 30 mins. Why would it randomly do this...very strange. |

Who knows? As stated before, it doesn't do anything to your playtime, I did playthrough using the stealth the entire time and it took me less that two hours, your Act 1 took over two hours, so it must just be a glitch, or maybe you read the time wrong. |

No mate...I think I'd know if 2 hours passed - why would I lie? Just turned the whole console off, started it again, this time 23 mins. Didnt run through as smoothly as last time which is annoying - least the glitch didnt happen. It was around 20 mins before, looked at the timestamps of my convo with someone online and I said to them I started at 17:25 and I message them saying I had finished the act at 17:46. I was searching for an answer online shortly after. [EDIT: Nope I skipped all the cutscenes...] Edited by xtrava, Jul 6 2008, 06:11 PM.

Hmm..... It sounds like some freaky thing. I haven't heard of anyone else than you where this has happend. I guess you are just lucky

I do seem to have a knack for finding glitches and having games crash on me  The only thing I can think of is maybe something went wrong in the transitions between save files, i.e. from ending the game and starting it, somehow the last save play time carried on or something bizarre! I dont know how or why that could happen, but unless this is the twilight zone the game definately went wrong somewhere. Anyway its all working now, hope those lost 3 minutes dont cost me!

Believe it or not, this happened to me too. In my Big Boss run, between Acts 3 and 4 an extra hour of gametime just added itself on to my time. So yeah I'm thinking there is in fact some glitch in there... |

Xtrava if it's a glitch (stealth adding time), then don't worry, use it to get the chicken emblem lol 35 hours game time you know;) The 150 alerts and all the continues etc. doesn't even take 35 hours.

Yeah - if I find out how to replicate the glitch I'll let you know how I finished the game in 2 hours 28 mins on this play through in the end.
