Jail Guard Posts: 2 Group: Members Member #1,524 Joined: December 15, 2005	Hi guys, Does anyone know is there is a patch for mgs 1 I'm having a bit of trouble with it crashing on me, I can only play it in software mode which is annoying aswell. Hope there is a solution. Cheers, Sean

Native of Baden Posts: 3,901 Group: DEAD CELL Member #1,285 Joined: September 21, 2005	Probably he has a on board graphic with shared-memory function...Well first download the latest driver version for your graphiccard and also use the latest direct x version. Maybe this will help.

Maybe this will help. No, I have an Sli system 2 geforce 6600 gt 128 mb cards. I got it to work, its running under windows 98 compatibility. My only problem is that it wont run in hardware mode which is a pain in the ass. any suggestions?

The game will run, but only in Software Mode ...which puts it at 640x480 in software mode. The game is supposed to support 1024x768 in hardware mode, but alas, I get that error. For the record, here is my system... Pentium IV CPU - 3.3 2 Gigs Ram Asus P4C800-E-Deluxe Motherboard (latest BIOS, just checked) nVidia 6800 GT (not overclocked) with latest 81.95 official WHQL Certified drivers. Creative Audigy 2 Platinum Sound Card, latest drivers. Windows XP - SP2, all the latest Windows Updates (just checked). Pioneer 16x DVD Drive, latest firmware, just checked. I've looked on Google and found two instances of this happening to 2 other people, both of them also had a nVidia 6x video card (me included). you are the third person. I'm at my wits end here... I deperately want to get into this series because of all the rave reviews of MGS 3 and with Subsistence coming in March (my birthday) and also the amazing MGS4 video, I am starting to get into this thing... I just spent a few hours reading the backstory even (from part 2, which I also bought on the PC and it works great). I just can't get part 1 to work in hardware mode, and I really want to play it first, then part 2. Anyways, has anyone ever heard of this, or could offer some suggestions? Thanks! i've also looked high and low, and found very little. i found an entry on intel's website about it.... I also found some info from some french website, but i can't find the forum post again. i wish i was better at google though, i know the answer has to be out there somewhere, it's just getting google to give it to me by choosing the right keywords. if anyone's a google master, i'd appreciate any relevant links anyone can find.

Metal Gear Solid	hi, i have the MGS1 for pc, with the disk and everything, i fight pyscho mantis and just as meryl puts her gun to her head, it freezes, i have tried uninstalling, reinstalling and it still wont work, any suggestions? plase i'm desperate, i had to search and pay $60 for this awesome game, i have played every other MGS execpt guns of the patriots.
