Death to the Patriots!
When going for the stealth item in which you are not are not allowed any alerts, i was just wondering whether the alerts are still counted if you alert the troops then you die and continue?...do they still get counted after you die?

Yes unfortunately you have to load up your previous save mate, so save every new area!

yes the alerts always stick, but what you can do is play until you get an alert, then save in that area and load it, then the alert will vanish because only progress from pervious areas is saved when entering a new area. that way you dont have to save every area, just when it matters.

EDIT: ...brother.

What about time? Does it record the time from when you entered the area or does it continue the clock up to where you saved it. I think that the timer continues to tick away to be honest...

should be doing something else right about now.
I not sure about that but I think it records it from the time you saved in that area.I am also doing a no alert run (successfully completed act1 with no kills, continues or health items used too ^_^ ) And I save once I enter every new area (I hate backtracking with a vengance :P )

It actually records time from when you enter an area. For example, enter an area then immediately save. Mess around for ten minutes then save again. The second save time will be exactly one second later, just so the machine knows that it is in fact a different file, otherwise the PS3 would implode.
