Been here for a while here now so thought I'd just make an intro topic!

MGS was pretty much the first console game I became attached too story-wise, so as soon as I could afford to run I picked up MGS2 and just started playing.. then with MGS3. I revel in games that make you have to think of strategies and original ideas, and MGS epitomizes that.

Unfortunately I haven't got a PS3, and don't really plan on getting one until the price goes waaay down.

I'm Ronnie, a 20yo computer science/gamedesign student, I like pianos, festivals, progressive music, films, computers and the odd game of something, be it MGS or SupCom or some RTS..

At the moment I'm living in Greenwich. I'll be going back to Ipswich, Surrey for my third (out of five) university year in September.

Thanks :P

Hmm, we do cover a lot of stuff in Computer Science, algorithms and mathematical calculations and therefore database work. More advanced stuff from that such as Artificial Intelligence and theory work.

From that we obviously use programming languages to implement such things, so hacking away at code plays a part, not as much as other courses I guess.

It's kinda hard to explain I bet you didn't understand one word I said :? Wikipedia explains it nicely from a glance; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_science

Heh Wikipedia; don't need that.

I'm on a software development course, more specifically for games, but we mainly cover all the relevant programming and maths required with a delve into some of the other more exciting areas like web technologies and languages and Flash.

Sounds like a blast anyway. :)
