Hallelujah!!! Question: will FF13 have mmo elements? FF12 had mmo elements. Kitase: each time we made a game, we try to make it unique. so it won't be like the last game. FFXIII wont be like FFXII? The best news I've heard all day, I can't wait.
Sony's conference isn't until a few days. I dunno what their announcement could be though. EDIT: question: how does the gameplay for ff12 and ff13 differ? kitase: "overall, the atmosphere is difference. the tempo and the speed are different. the entire direction is different. I know lol. I'm just saying it'll be interesting to see what they counter act that with. I suppose they will reveal the exclusive content for Bioshock, but that won't be a massive deal. I can see alot of upset Sony fanboys in a couple of days. |

Honestly I wasn't going to get FF13, it reminds me too much of FF10(ew). I was only gonna get FF13 Versus, due to it looking more like FF7/8 and supposidly having Kingdom Hearts style gameplay. |

It's a big loss for Sony, but I don't mind it that it's multiplatform. Now if it was announced exclusive for 360, I would be pretty pissed, but I knew that wasn't going to happen and overall, knowing SE, I was expecting this to be announced eventually, but not this soon. |

FF13: Versus is a completely different game than FF13 so that is very good news. Although FF13 going to Xbox is still a huge blow. I really am "praying to the video game gods" that Sony has a huge E3 showing. I'll always be a PS3 fanboy - some of my best memories are on PS1 and PS2. |

That's probably a good idea on Squenix's part... 360 userbase in JPN is laughable. Squenix took all this time to develop for the "difficult to develop for" PS3 so they'll port it to the 360 with ease. This is just a good way for Squenix to make up for some of the money lost on "Spirits Within." I'm still appalled and disgusted, of course... but still... it's just one more step towards the WiiStation 720. One step closer to consumers saving hundreds of dollars... pounds... whatever. P.S. On a final note, if it wasn't for MGS4, i'd have a link on eBay selling my PS3. P.S.S. I foresee a similar announcement from Konami at their conference... MGS4: Sustenance on 360! And for those PC fans (i'm looking at you Register) - FFXIII is being created using a PC so methinks it could be released on the PC as well. And the only reason Square aren't releasing a 360 version in Japan is because there is only two people in the whole of Japan who own a 360 - and they are Americans anyway  . EDIT:

wait a minute... it might not be that bad of news for sony after all, according to Square development for the 360 port hasn't even begun yet, as it will start when it is released on PS3 in Japan first, which probably means much later... next year? i dont know. from what i know delayed ports don't usually do well. |

From the sound of it, PS3 users will have to wait after it's ported over to the 360. Then it will come out on both systems at the same time. I could be wrong, but that's what I got from the conference. Anyways, FF XIII will not be released on the PC or anytime soon. The most recent PC game that SE brought out was FFXI which you have to pay to play and need a unique serial code to play so they didn't have to worry about piracy or anything, but if FF XIII was brought over anyone who would have bought a 360 or PS3 for it will either legit buy it or download it. |

the microsoft vp or whatever his position is, pissed me off a bit when he said that franchises like gta, ff, and re have found new homes at microsoft. they only expanded to microsoft. that dbag talking as if they're xbox eclusiives. i don't want to be biased though. but that statement pissed me off. |
