When on MSN, I click on the little envelope and it always automatically directs me to Internet Explorer. I only use Firefox for my internet browsing so my question: Can I change this link from IE to Firefox? Without screwing with additional tweak programs. |

I think certain programs such as MSN are 'coded' to open Internet Explorer. Even if your default browser is set as firefox. I could be wrong though, there probably is a setting to change it somewhere. |

I'd be interested if anyone does have an answer to this, I'd like to use FireFox for my MSN e-mail link, too. Of course, you could just open hotmail through FF (www.hotmail.com) but nah.

It's not in the MSN settings, that's for sure. I figured it's got something to do with Microsoft coding the shit because it's their program but I want a way around it. If absolutely nescassary then I might use a tweaking program but I'd rather find out if there's another way first. |

Like you, Bosa, I use FF and dislike IE for all the same reasons. However there can be some compatibility issues with running such a strong Microsoft service like Hotmail in the FF browser. Generally I grin and bear it each time I check my Inbox and I get directed to it via IE. Surely it's not too much of a problem for you to bookmark Hotmail on FF and get it to store your login info - then just click that link everyday too. |

Use a different program, I use Pidgin which is AIM, MSN, ICQ, XMPP, IRC and loads of others all in one, I don't know if it's available for Windows OR Mac though. |
