Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots	In my opinion, Ocelot is actually the single most important character in MGS (that's not counting MG & MG2:SS). He's the ONLY character to be in every single Metal Gear Solid game. I mean, obviously the series is focused on Big Boss and his clones, but Ocelot is easily as prominent as any other character, if not more so. I mean, he arranged (on Solidus' behalf) the events of MGS1 He arranged (on the Patriots' behalf) the events of MGS2 He was an integral part of the events of MGS3 He was (although not having a huge role) involved in MPO And as for MGS4 Spoiler: click to toggle We find out that he was one of the founders of the Patriots and he gives his life so that the world can be free of Zero As for the "everything would be the same, except not focused on America" - Not neccesarily Spoiler: click to toggle Zero was the main guy who set up the Patriots, he could've done it without Ocelot. And besides, who says the Chinese would've done the same thing with the legacy and shagohod that the Americans did? They could well have used it much better.
