I got a reply from a friend that linked me to a website asking for my msn address and password. He was offline at the time. So be careful, people. Don't go clicking links. The link I got was http://ricardo.partypartypics.info, So any partypics.info you get, don't click on. I put it here, as opposed to the computer corner, because more people will see it. |

Yes I have heard of this. A friend of mine did not even use their MSN much but I would see them 'log in' Send the msg with the site asking for the log in info, then 'log out'. Ofcourse they did not know of that until I spoke it to them. Basically it is a virus on their PC which is trying to get peoples detail, so it spams anyone on their contact list in the fashion I spoke above. |

I never click links on MSN unless I'm 100% sure what I'm clicking and that it's definetly my friend who I'm talking to. I have a friend whose been hacked, and they always log on for a couple of seconds, send me a link to something and log off again. Of course, I never click it. |

So it's my computer that has been hacked? Man, I really wish I had kept my computer knowledge up to date. Yeah, i'm off to read up on Vista, and the millions of new viruses that have been released since 2005.

It's just a computer that has your address and password and it will log you on and spam the site to everyone. Try changing your password first, if not then it is probably a virus. |

Most likely a virus, and most of those things are... There are many times people on my contact list sends a ZIP-folder to me, and later they start sending links... The ZIP-folder contains a self-extracting virus, and sends itself to people on the victims contact-list without the host of the virus being aware of it. That's why you never should make your MSN auto-accept file transfers ^^ And also ask when links and files your friends sends has a little wierd name ;p |

I've got people on my buddy list who have this crappy virus. I have told them about it but they do nothing to rectify the matter. I think I may just delete them. |

Tell them to try deleting all cookies... I've had one of the million so-called MSN-viruses once, many years ago, and I just deleted all cookies, and suddenly the problem was solved... But an anti-virus program is also recommended

I've told them all of the above, to which they tell me they already have "blah blah blah" software installed and "that should take care of it". Then they can blame themselves when trojans get into their computers and starts leaking all info like passwords and stuff like that to hackers xD Hmm... Yeah, I think this has to be moved

these things don't normaly work on macs. so sometimes when I have clicked links not meaning to. it does nothing. there are always one of these things going around on msn. Like the one that says something about is this you and it is supose to be a picture of you or something. |
