because they are basterds also the 40s cost less for them to make. even so funny enough its only the UK and europe the cheap basterds have stopped selling the 60s in. the US,JPN and so on get the 80s and so that are backwards compatible |

Your best bet when playing some nice old PS1 games is to to into the system settings and crank your TV display resolution back to 480i - this is much closer to the actual output of PS1 games and will not look quite as shit on your TV.

I saw that while I was checking on MGS on amazon too! Might be nice for someone who's never played them. I'm proud to say I kept every MGS game I ever bought!!

Even though I would have probably recommended eBay as well to obtain some nice old PS1 games, just make sure the thing works. We have bought some not so long ago and some of them didn't work beyond early stages in said game, or the disc was generally scratched to shit. If the thing works from start to finish, then I'd just be happy with that. Also remember that if you win games for a really tiny amount of money, there's a chance that it might not work as the seller will know it doesn't work and will sell it for cheap to get rid of it. That way they will assume that as it was cheap and not much money, that you are unlikely to bug them for a refund and that way they'd have gotten rid of a faulty game and made a few bucks/pounds on it too. Just remember that you have a right to complain if the auction says it works and when you test it and find out it has problems. You can get a full refund through PayPal (if you paid them in that way) if they do not co-operate with you if the game turns out to be faulty.
