Metal Gear Database?; not detecting my mgs4 saves

I think this is the right forum for this question, anyway:
I got the Metal Gear Database off the PSN store and it's all working fine except I can't unlock the spoilers because apparently I don't have any MGS4 cleared saves. To clear things up, I've finished MGS4 3 times on the same save so I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had the same problem and are there any solutions.

Also is there maybe a manual way to unlock the database without using saves? It might just be easier that way... don't know. Anyway thanks for your time and help :)

You're lying, I've been you

I personally haven't given it a look, so my advice might not be helpful. Have you loaded up a save file from the end of the game, I.E a save just before the credits. Then play through so the game sees you beat it? To my understand, that was how you get the spoiler tags to disappear.

Yeah, I've finished the game 3 times on the single file and still it does not recognize it. Though I have a little theory to why this problem has occurred that I got after thinking a bit more about it:

My copy of the game is a US version (bought from play-asia.com) and I'm playing it on an Australian PS3. Of course then the saves it makes are going to be for the US version of the game (I've also confirmed this with my mates PAL version of MGS4). I downloaded the database from the Australian PSN store so I'm thinking that maybe the database is region locked with saves as well (in this case, I am using a PAL database with NTSC saves).

If this is right then i can see why it's not working. Anyway, this could be totally wrong, I just wanted to see what you guys thought. And if there is any work-around solution. Thanks again.
