alright, you may remember in my first thread mgs4 made me want to beat the other games to understand it. i already beat mgs1, and just beat mgs2. im a little confused. fortunes father was the marine that died before ray was hi-jacked? and rose was infact a spy, then fell in love with jack, and it wasnt just GW saying that? also, how does rose's and the colonel's relationship start, and when does jack turn into the cyborg he is in mgs4? if its in another game, dont tell me, i dont want it spoiled. just when i find out or something, no spoilers

Yes, Scott Dolph (the marine in the tanker chapter giving the speech) is in fact Fortune's father. Fortune thinks Solid Snake is the one who killed him so that's why she's hell bent on killing Snake when in fact it was really Ocelot that did him in. To answer your second question... yes. Your assumption is correct. I can't answer your third question for it's been years since I've played it and I'm really fuzzy on that. |

alright, thanks. i didnt really get hooked on the game until the last few hours, which i played all tonight. it really picked up! the ending was great, but almost comparable to mgs4's in length

Raiden becomes a cyborg sometime between MGS2 and MGS4, it's never fully explained, same with the Rose and Campbell thing. |

Raiden proposed to her and they were married briefly. After Rose lied about having miscarriage, Raiden eventually stopped coming home. He started to question his existence and went off to rescue Sunny from the Patriots. Colonel got together with Rose and orchestrated a fake marriage for a few years, to shield the Patriots' eyes off them, so nothing horrible would happen to Jack's family. During the time frame, Raiden was apparently captured by the Patriots and undergone experiments. He was set free by this secret organization. Some of the stuff was mentioned in the database for MGS4. Unfortunately I can't excess it because my internet connection for the PS3 is down, so I go on what I've been told... |

She was. But not by the end as you see her talking to Jack at the end. When GW turned to JFK, that's when Rose was taken by The Patriots. Presumably for interfering with the S3 program and distracting Jack. |
