SOP free. Posts: 959 Group: Outer Heaven Member #9,281 Joined: July 8, 2008	I have many high hopes for the Metal Gear series, should it continue. These are but a few: That Big Boss' character's active transformations be shown to us by playing as him through them. That the backgrounds of characters connected to Big Boss (Sniper Wolf, for example) are elaborated on extensively. That within those present character backgrounds I suggest, Ocelot gets a lot of attention. That Kojima Productions truly is well trained and will work as hard as possible to meet and exceed the standards set by their previous work with Kojima as director. That Kojima gets to produce and continue to exercise heavy influence. That Snake is allowed to rest, *as intended*. The presence of explanatory, precluding elements that don't seem like nothing but messily patched on retcons. What are your hopes?

I loved the series, but if they keep it up, too many changes, too many mistakes in the timeline and in the MGS universe, best to leave it alone. It was a kick ass series that nothing can compete with (except Halo imo because i loved the games and the novels)

It can't go on forever being it 20 years since the first game. If anything I would like to see another game when you play Big Boss. Maybe a sequel to portable ops???

A sequel to MPO would be ideal for me, personally. Hopefully on PS3? I'd love to play as BIG BOSS, durring the Cold War Era using similar sneaking tactics introduced in MGS4 ( The crouch't walk and scout-crawl specifically ). Maybe having something to do -- directly -- with the initiation of project to bring about BIG BOSS' Terrible Children, and his eventual rejection of them.

If there would be a new game I would like to see more from Big Boss and Sniper Wolf. A few months back I'd rather had MGS4 to be the ~~disappointing~~ last game in the series, like God said. I'd like to see the Gray Fox/Big Boss relationship develop further. I'd love to see why he accepted Frank as a son, but rejected the Snake twins and Solidus. One thing I don't want is a game with Sunny, Johnny, Raiden or Little John as the hero. If that ever happens I swear I will never play an MGS game again.

It seems this is pretty much universally agreed that should it continue this would be the best route. I hope Kojima productions is listening.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots	As long as they don't continue MGS storyline, it's good enough for me. As much as I like MGS4, I'd hate to see Little John doing backflips like his daddy... But I think it would be interesting to play as The Boss, before the events of MGS3, when she was sent out to space and all that stuff. Other than remakes and retrospectives, I don't see any future for the MGS series. If Kojima Productions (or Konami) wants to set a storyline in the year 2030 or whatever, they should make another series. A sci-fi stealth game would also be interesting (as long as it's not MGS).

Well from the stand point of Solid, Liquid and Solidus I thought it was pretty basic - that he had never intended them to happen, especially as a weapon used against him later in life. But for the Gray Fox/Big Boss relationship that'd make a very epic game.

I don't think a sequel of mgs4 is a option You would probably see sniper wolf as a child soldier... and according to the database Vulcan Raven was also at Outer Heaven! Though snake would never encounter him there... it would be nice to see him again I think it's time to finally have a remake of these 2 games...
