I was bored and thought to mess about in Photoshop, and would try to paint something using only one brush, and only black and white, the colour was added later for finishing effect. So I drew a brief face shape, and started adding shading and highlights, gradually editing the facial features and the shape, and it turned out quite well, so I aimed to make it look like Snake, with a bandana which isn't too visible, and to make it very dark, as Snake is at home amongst the shadows. It turned out pretty good, by no means professional artwork but I think it can be familairised with snake and MGS, the kinda artwork Shinkawa does with the heavy shading and broad lines. And then I added a few effects to the face, a bit of experimenting, while the original is just brush and some colour and contrast effects, these have some additional effects added, and are shown here.  What do you think, comments etc welcome. |

I think it's pretty cool. You could try making full-body-pic with that too, I'd want to see how it'd work. |

Dude, I just had a rant at you in another thread, and come to see this.... Ok, if its what you want, lets 'talk' about this. You clearly know nothing about graphics, lets face it you found a good tutorial online somewhere, followed it and got those two sigs as an end results, bravo, I'm really proud of you there kid. You flame a simple design merely as 'pictures and text', yet it looks better than your work, you've gone to more desperate, painstaking measures to hand scibble that text in your bottom sig, either that or you chose the worlds worst font, either way, loose text like that REALLY doesn't match with a sig based on a mechanically theme sig like that one, and wow, you've even added blurred blue balls to it, oh gee that must have taken soooo long and been so technical, it wasn't, it doesn't look great, thats lesson #1. Lesson #2, undertaking an idea just to see how it comes out is never stupid, I don't know whether you're spammy comment above was an attempt to rile me up, but it worked in evoking my wrath. You wanna call something stupid, call yourself stupid, you are far too closed-minded even grant yourself good at graphics, the only things stupid about art or design would be voluntarily including content to offend others, that is stupid, coming up with a theme as I did, I wanted to 'paint' an image with one brush, simple as, at least I set boundaries and a goal to my little project. Also what I'd call stupid is you, you get your first tastes of Photoshop or GIMP or whatever, you follow a tutorial, get and results, and wet your pants, then you probably go round every forum you can google search to show them off and criticise everyone else's work with the false pretence of actually knowing a damn thing about it. Final lesson, by the looks of things, you've already got on enough peoples nerves as it is, including a few admins I don't doubt, and if you have been going from forum to forum showing off your work, as I'm convinced you gave been, chances are you've been banned or driven away from them, well I'm starting to say the flaming torches are starting to come out now mate, so I'd keep my head down, shut up and stop acting like a stuck up know-it-all, fin.
