And you have to have speakers that can pick up on all of the frequencies which I don't happen to have for my compy. True. But I have pretty high-class speakers on my pc and a couple of albums in lossless audio. I don't have that much problem with MP3 though.

I am also a mac user so its just the best thing for me. I only have 806, This is what I have collected in like 4 or 5 months. Befor I left home I got a new laptop and I was to lazy to try and put all my music that was on like 3 computers onto this. As it would be a lot or sorting. Anyway I have Like none of my old music. But generally, they all have their uses for the billion different formats that exist out there. Along with WMP, I use Winamp, Quicktime, VLC, Realplayer, (gasp) and DivX.
