Something that's not really clear to me... I remember Liquid saying in MGS2 that big boss was already in his late fifty's when they created his copies. So big boss must have been... let's just say 56 in 1972 (les enfants terrible project). So he must at least been 48 in 1964 during MGS3? That means he was older then The Boss who only was 42? Doesn't seem right.... |

The conclusion many people has come to is that Liquid simply had wrong information. He fought in the Korean war in the 1950s so I say he would have been born in the 1930s. |

It definitly is a mistake made by the writers... but yeah i guess it could be explained that Liquid had the wrong info. |

I wouldn't really chalk it up to be a writers mistake. Kojima never intended to make the sequels to MGS1. So in MGS1 he decided that would be a good age for him. In the later installments of the game he backtracked in order to fit Big Boss into the storyline. If you look deeply into the series you'll notice little errors like this all over the place. I dont remember them talking about the darpa chiefs age. Maybe in some database. But about this age thing of big boss... What Liquid was talking about at that moment is something I think a lot of people remember who played mgs2. It was a pretty important moment in that game. So I do think they made a little mistake with the timeline in mgs3. (sorry about my english... it's not that good) |

Yeah I agree... but even so according to Liquid he would be like 80 in outer heaven (1995). That's possible maybe... but that would also mean he was at least 48 in 1964 meaning he was older then The Boss (who was 42). I found that a little weird. But yeah.. they could explain it in a way that Liquid was simply wrong. |
