Those of you who cannot get the expansion pack because of "Konami's" problems have you guys thought of buying the expansion pack from your computer rather than trying to get it on your ps3? I'm not 100% sure this is the reason you guys cant get it but I really don't understand why you guys cant get it since it literally took me less than 5 minutes. Just go to http://www.konami.jp/mgo type in your Konami ID & follow the instructions & VOILA! I LOOOOVEEEE the expansion & It definitely makes MGO sooo much better & cant wait for many more expansions to come I would really like more of you guys to get it so there would be more games with the new levels available... I notice that only a few games have the "Brown Town" which is the SHIET! |

I'm pretty sure the expansion pack was part of the 1.10 update because when I finally managed to buy it I didn't have to download anything. I just got a page saying thanks for purchasing. I thought 'oh shit, damn you konami!' but when I went to play there was my extra character slot and the maps were playable. So if you can just manage to purchase it, and already have the update, thats it, no more hassle. It didn't take me too long, I wasn't checking the shop that often, spose I just got lucky. btw, I'm pratically broke but I think the expansion is da shizzle!

^ ^ That is quite odd. I was lucky, then unlucky, then lucky, then unlucky again, but finally lucky and got the pack. It came up first, then my PS3 froze. Then it came up again yet i forgot my stupid Konami id (would love to puch the muppet who thought of that idea) then it timed out. Then i FINALLY got it, and for me, it's well worth it. Don't give up hope guys, i know what you're feelin, but keep trying. And Rex, i so can't wait for Shadow Moses either, just hope we don't have another fiasco again. |

The expansions, i hope, will just keep getting better. I really hope Konami irons out the problems with downloading and buying the expansions. I think when the small problems are ironed out, alot more people will be inclined to play. |

So, no one is having a problem activating the Unique characters in the COMMON SETTINGS option when creating a game ( After downoading the GENE Expansion )? Agan, as I posted before -- I am currently incapable of activating them. The option is there, and yet all that shows up is "---- " over the name, and team option. I hate to continue to bother everyone about it. I just need to know if there is some sort of prerequisite to using the unique characters, or if there is indeed something wrong? I finally got it today. It does make MGO much better, they are nice maps, especially VV and CC, not so keen on TT though. However there is still a problem no amount of expansion packs can make better. Its the same problem which plagues every online game ever to exist - over competitiveness and MGO is a huge sufferer of it. I can't play a single match without it being full of over competitive, ego filled, elitest twats. It what keeps online from being truley awesome and keeps it 2nd best to same system multiplayer. Sorry Sioux i've never had that problem, sounds very weird. And i totally agree with you Roy. I was in a game yesterday, just 5 v 5, and it was so great, everyone was so friendly and it was great fun. Then i get into a game where everyone is trying to kick me and my mates because we we're whooping them (not being egotistical, i usually suck... a lot). So i started a game and same thing happened and i eventually got kicked which ended the game for everyone. Geniuses. |

There actually isn't much piont in getting the Gene expansion plus. (In euros at least) The regular pack is 10, and the plus pack is 13 or 14 euro. You get 1 character slot extra in plus pack but if you get the regular pack (10 euro) you can buy a pack of 3 extra slots for 3 euro. So you basically get the Gene expansion plus pack AND 2 more character slots for 13 euro. Whatever Konami can do for more money, they will... Edited by Nathan_snake, Jul 22 2008, 05:59 PM.

There are always people like that online. Fighting over stealing kills and "lol mah teammates r bad kick em!!1" instead of working together as a team. It only happens 1/10 of the time. (acting as a team, I mean) |
