That's an interesting interpretation, but actually "venom" was implying how harmful my mouth can be when I'm pushed to a certain point. It's about using and abusing, relationship revenge, and being on the prowl to spite your significant other. And yes, I suppose sex is not far off from the truth, it definitely can be seen that way. Sort of a double innuendo, perhaps. |

Haha, thats cool. I re-read it after hearing your explanation, and I have to say that in this new light, it frightens me how much this applies to me. The world molded me into an asshole long before I met my girlfriend, and although I really love her, I can be rather cold, having a shitty way of showing it...This really made me think about what Im doing to her. Its actually a bit disturbing how deeply that strikes me, especially considering that I NEVER come here to read poetry...I was just attracted to this thread for some reason. |
