Hmm I do tend to agree, according to friends I have who actually work in the emergency services (two coppers and a fireman) they have a certain degree of autonomy and can choose to respond if they want to (unless they get an alarm call, which means they are forced to respond or get the sack), the way I see it the problem is lies with those manning the telephones in the call centres, who decide to send out the alarm. |

Have a word, Kent is full of chavs. Anyhow, I have to make my complaint today cause the ICCP or whoever were closed yesterday. I went round to where the guy got beaten up across my estate just to see I wasen't imagining things, and sure enough there was blood absolutley everywhere, a couple of broken windows with blood across them. Someones door had been smashed in. I took pictures incase when I file my complaint they need evidence. But yeah, I hate London to be honest. I try not to act irrational about it but it's hard not to these days, I'd love to move to Canada or somewhere like La Gomera. I think it's important to understand the UK in general are going through dark times, whether it be the recession or extreme rises of violence for some unknown bloody reason - but I don't intend to stick it out, and why should I? I've already been slashed in the face by a knife, how long before someone actually kills me? These are questions I don't wish to ponder, and yesterday was just a massive alarm bell to get out as soon as possible, because if you can't rely on the police to help you in situations like that you are well and truely fucked. |

Yeah, we're going down the pan. Crime is terrible, there are so many 'thugs' or 'chavs' or whatever you want to call them about that its dangerous to walk the streets, not to mention this so called 'Credit Crunch' and 'Recession' we are going or about to be going through. These are bad times and politicians, who are meant to be trying to avoid this, are making things even worse. Everyone I talk to seems to want to jump ship, just take a look at this thread for example. I wonder what would happen if all the people who said they would left, it would plunge Britain even further and also hinder other countries (i.e Canada and Japan) as well as they wont be able to cope with the sudden influx of people. If anyone wants to go I would suggest you leave ASAP otherwise you might miss your chance. |

Wow. That's is well and truly f**ked! London is a terrible for crime, so you should think that the police should take anything seriously. Not sure what area you're from Null (I forget) but the places are really bad in North and East London. Also, all my friends here in West London hate the police because a few incidents which they didn't turn up to. Like for instants, my mates door was getting kicked in by a few yobs (yobs are like wannabe gangsters) and he called the police. They came the next day and all they said was that they'll pay for a new door. I mean, WTF! Just a side note: There's a gang round my area called FDA. Stands for F**k Da Police. It makes me laugh lol.  Soo.. yeah. Lifes getting harder for teenagers and young adults. Aaron

We really dont have this problem in Miami. Atleat not where I live. By my old school, metro takes a while to show up, but they will show up. But then again if you lived in Overtown, or Liberty city, they wouldn't show up. |

No doubt CBJ. Coppers love to feel me up for drugs when I'm having a good night out but don't give a shit when someones being beaten to a pulp. In my honest opinion it is not an overstatement to say you are hard pressed to find a decent officer in my experience. |

Cops are drug crazy. There was a big string of breakins round my town. So the police decided to do a road checkpoint and search every car that came through. They certainly weren't going to get the robbers that way, just a totally transparent excuse to search for drugs. And people wonder why I'm pro-legalization. So cops will fucking forget about their pointless drug crusade and actually do something that matters. |
