Your Name, How did you come up with it? Does it have any meaning? Why did you choose that certain alias? I'll start with myself, H2o Pyro. I choose this alias 2+ years ago when i joined the PMS/H2O community. The PMS Clan is a worldwide female gaming community. Its an all girls clan that gives every girl a chance to feel welcome in the gaming world. The H2O clan is sort of a counter part because of it being an all boys clan but is still part of the same community. We are like the big brothers for the girls. We are there for when ever they need us. And we sopport their goal in making a home in which welcomes and supports all female gamers. So yea thats where and how I got my name, how does your name have meaning? please share. |

I thought yours was a reference to Team Fortress. Hmph. God Told Me to Skin you alive is a line from a Dead Kennedys song, "I Kill Children". It's also the artwork by Winston Smith used for Green Day's Insomniac album.  I chose it because it was cool and dark, really. Oh... this is gonna be long. It's just a name that references so many little things. 'Tamashii' is Japanese for the word 'soul', but can also be translated to 'spirit', 'ghost', and even 'hope'. The spelling of the word 'Tamashii' in my name, however, has only one 'I' - this was because it was to be more original, and because I thought it looked better. However, there is also an underscore in my name, which could represent a second 'I' that has fallen down. The concept of falling down can be related to my depression and depression of the human soul, because all humans are naturally incomplete beings. In any case, the reason as to why I use the word 'Tamashi' is because it ties in with a few key concepts. One of these things is the actual human soul in it's bare form, if you can imagine; at the core, all humans are the same - it is only after birth circumstance and experience that we become different people. What I mean to say is, our souls are all the same and we can all feel the same pain and emotion. This also ties in with the 'hope' that we can live and maybe one day understand one another has humans. Furthermore, there is also a biblical reference to the 7 spirits/eyes of God. This is mostly where the '7' is derived from in my name - to convey that there needs to be seven different and unique spirits to create God. Not only that, but if you count the letters in the word 'Tamashi', it has seven characters. Other than that, 7 is a very symbolic number used throughout the world, and 7 is also characterised as being 'lucky'. Oh, and if that's not enough - a '7' looks very similar to a 'T', so it's kinda like the name starts and ends the same. Back to the word 'Tamashi' - there is also a song from my favourite narrative of all time, Neon Genesis Evangelion, entitled "Tamashii no Rufuran" (Refrain for the Soul). Now... Neon Genesis Evangelion actually has a rather big impact on the other references, as well - like in the show, there is an Angel that wears a mask consisting of seven eyes (representing the seven spirits of God). The idea of 'hope' is also put forward in the series. But yeah, Neon Genesis Evangelion changed my life, so it only seemed fitting that it had such an influence on my name. Finally, if that isn't all enough, I totally dig the name 'Tammy' - anytime somebody says it, it makes me happy like a school girl. ^^ So, as you can evidently see, I put a lot of time, thought, and effort into choosing this name of "Tamashi_7". The Protagonist derives from The Greek which means "one who plays the first part, chief actor"....The protagonist is a person who is controlled by a good will, and is a main character, which means that a protagonist is the good guy in a story or in a movie...The bad guy in a story would be an antagonist.... Different towns and regions in England get reffered to as different names. 'Scousers' from Liverpool, 'Geordies' from Newcastle, 'Brummies' from Birmingham etc etc. People from Teesside are reffered to as 'Smoggies' the singular being 'smoggy'. And as I am proud to be a smoggy I have named myself thus.

Helikaon Comes from the main character in the Troy series by David Gemmell. It's the nickname of Aeneas, Prince of Dardania and central character in the series, I first read it ages ago and the name stuck in my head. Rawne (PSN) Comes from one of the main characters in the Gaunts Ghosts series by Dan Abnett. Major Elim Rawne is the 2iC of the Tanith 1st and Only, just like with Helikaon the name stuck with me and I use it (or a variation using other words or characters from the series) for all my online needs, such as my MGO name which is the name with the rank. |

Solid Snake The Great, is the name of my favourite gaming character put together with a title, "the great". You could say I got inspiration from names in history like William The Conqueror, but in actual fact I got my inspiration from a member called Spaz The Great on another forum. I chose to make the name my own by replacing Spaz with Solid Snake. A common acronym for my user name is SSTG. |

doubleo sigint DoubleO or DoubleO88 is my alias on almost everything, it used to even be my tag back in school. DoubleO is basically my initials spelt out, O.O. The 88 I sometimes add is reference to the year I was born. I am sometimes also known as Chaos, that was my old, old name back in the days and at times I can mix the two DoubleO Chaos. As for Sigint, well I only ever used that for MGSF referencing Sigint from MGS3, I chose Sigint because no one was using it and it was original at the time plus I thought it would suit my personality by Sigint being a cool black guy and me being a cool black guy. Liquidus_Snake is just the quickest name I could think of MGS related.. Most of the time I just go by "Gooderz" as its what I'm called by everyone except my family. My surname being Goodwin, It just stuck since I was like 10 years old and now everyone I know or meet will call me by it.. Doesn't bother me, I've just grown to refer to myself by it.. |

I chose Roy Campbell becuase this was a MGS board and Campbell is a MGS character. I don't use the name anywhere else though. Other alias' I use include: Darth Beck (Used most often) - a combination of the Sith prefix and my last name Zero Hellfire (Xbox Gamertag) and ZeroHellfire (PSN) - Fuck knows why, it just sounds kinda cool I suppose. Well, my friend actually chose my name, as we were talking in the very little German we know, and I registered on that day a his house. I knew I needed scissors 61 in my name, that quote is one of the greatest things I ever heard. I only wish my name started with a capital, but what can you do. I quite like it, actually, it suits me well. @ Tam -  Never knew that much was in it.
