So I just bought this new keyboard and when I type stuff like "lo" (lol) and "acount" (account), it doesn't let me add in the "l" or "c" because apparently I'm hiting the buton so fast that it's not giving the second leter time to register.

Se what I mean? It's pissing (wow it didn't do it) me off.

Anybody have any idea how to fix this problem? If not, I just wasted about $30-40 on a junk keyboard.

Edit: BTW, I had to put a disc in to install the keyboard. After I installed it I kept getting this message that said something like "Microsoft strongly recommends that you stop installation" and something about it isn't compatible with Windows or something, but it says Windows XP right on the box and that's exactly what I have. Not sure if that would have anything to do with it or not, but I have no other ideas.

Feeling Completely Undermined.

Do you type ridiculously quickly? :)

Hmm, some keyboards have problems when you type quickly it doesn't register the additional keystrokes, but I've never really had this problem, but I'd install the disc anyway or try for a refund and get a different keyboard.

Installed and re-installed the disc and nothing changed.

I do type ridiculously fast, but I've never had this problem with a keyboard, and it's extremely annoying. It's worse than the piece of shit I had before.

"Internet Keyboard Elite" by Micro Innovations.

Let me tell ya, it's definitely a micro innovation.

I just noticed on the front of the box it says "22 hot keys". Anybody know wtf that means? Maybe that has something to do it, because when I type words like assignment and asshole the "s" always seems to work fine, but I know the "c" in the word acount (there it goes) does it every time.

Meh, I don't think that has anything to do with it. The hot keys are for programming applications to "navigate with ease". Everything about this keyboard is cheesy.

I guess I'm gonna have to hope I can find the receipt and take it back or just destroy the fucking thing. I'm so pissed. It's over an hour round trip just to get one of these damn things.

Who on earth are Micro Innovations? :P

Also the hot keys bit means that the keyboard has that many extra buttons which can be changed with the software to link to run other programs and such.

But yeah, take it back I reckon. So you really paid like 30-40 bucks eh? Sounds like a shame for that sort of money, my current Microsoft one only cost about £10-15 on eBay and works like a charm and is very heavy duty, which is what I need.

Yeah, that's what I was hoping for, but I guess that's what I get for having my mother pick it up for me.

Guess I'll be taking it back.

Yeah, sorry to disappoint, Webbie.

Just let us know how the new one goes, and what brand etc it is when you get it - because I am sure you will love whatever it will be. :)

No problems, dude. It's not like it's your job to fix my keyboard problem or anything ^_^

Got my new one today. Took the last one back (the one that didn't work) and got one that was almost ten bucks cheaper, and it works perfectly. Oddly enough, Micro Innovations makes this keyboard as well.

So I got like $9.50 back and a keyboard that actually works. I'm satisfied.

Good one man ^_^
I have the same problem with the keyboard I use at my work but the one I use at home is just fine. The ones at work are Dell, but I always though that's a good make.

Ah nice one matey.

If you get any problems, just make a new thread and whatnot... I think this one is sorted now. ;)
