Kid got banned for having an opinion...nice. On topic, discriminating people for their religion is just as bad as, if not worse than, discriminating against gay people, so less of it in the topic please. |

No, he was warned for repeatedly ignoring a moderator's requests, in this case Orion's requests. The fact that he already had 4 out of the allowed 5 warnings, is really not the staff's fault. |

He got banned for pushing his idioicy as if this was a free speech forum to prance around and spit out any kinds of nonsense he wants and to have the audacity to not even say it's his opinion, but a fact formed by God. This isn't Sunday school, and he should have known better than to try and preach his ideology to people who could really give a shit what he thinks is a "sin." I would love to know how this all went from a ADULT discussion about a news item, to a venomous and preachy verbal onslaught. I do hope that whenever I voice my opinion (And that IS what it is) I do so with humility and respect. I said it before and I say it again! I see people for who they are. I DON'T CARE what they do in their OWN bedrooms as long as they are all consenting adults and are not hunting anyone. Religion is a wonderful guidence and also a kind of belief system, virtually ALL religions preach the same messege about tolerance, love, being a human and aspiring to better things in life and beyond. Religion is also a very personal thing, as long as everyone is reconsiled with THEIR god, and are not affecting or abusing anyone else, then I say leave them to it! I wouldn't like it is some religious group camped outside my doorstep and shouted and preached their beliefs to me morning and night, or told me that if I didn't follow their word to the letter I 'would go to hell', and yeah I also dislike that some groups insist on knocking on your door and try to lecture you, but when they do, I politely tell them the same messege - We are all equal before our god. I don't think that anyone should be made to feel ashamed about who they are and what they find appealing in this life, everyone has their judgement day so who are we to make silly judgements down here! Just live and let live! If you have an opinion then just voice it as an opinion, rather then as if it were the only true way! And anyway, I AM CERTAIN that the lord has FAR more important things to think about then who is gay and who isnt! And I do know that we should turn the vitriol towards the TRUE DAMNED, the people who enjoy killing,murdering,hurting children. Those are the people that I am more concerned about, rather then whos gay and who isnt! Quite litterally, for gods sake - Live and Let Live! Respect Other peoples opinions and counter them politly with your own. This is only one little planet and we all have to live on it and try to get along. Peace. |
