And what do you know about mine? "This movie was terrible, end of" certainly says a lot about your knowledge of movies and debating, your majesty. Fuck man, you have bigger e-penis than I

Am I talking to a wooden block here? I never questioned your knowledge, you questioned mine. Just like I never made a comparison between Marvel and DC films - you did. This is something you have dug yourself into, there was no provokation on my part. Just you acting like you hold divine knowledge over everyone else, now your running off with your tail between your legs because you are being shown up. And wow..an e-penis joke. *thumbs up*. |

Djhell, if you know a whole lot, show it by dazzling us with airtight points and clear examples in all of your posts, not by being contentious and condescending when you get too lazy to defend your points. Anyway, I thought the film was terrific. Like The Departed said, it kept me near or on the edge of my seat for two hours, which is pretty impressive. Does Heath deserve the Oscar? I don't think so. I thought he did a bang-up job, but I don't think it was as ground-breaking as many seem to think, and I was actually a little underwhelmed by it when I left, given the heaps of praise he received building up to the first public screening. |

I'm not even going to bother responding to people like Djhell. Did you even watch the performance? Of course I fucking did! I wrote a goddamn review about it! And brushing people off as 'young' or 'ignorant' is just plain stupidity. To tell you truth, I did not like Iron Man. I did like Spiderman, but it wasn't 'deep' or anything. I haven't seen the Hulk. I liked X-Men, but like Spiderman, in just a stupid happy-go-lucky action film way. I'm not symphasising for Depp. I don't think he deserves an Oscar. Okay? I just had similar expectations from their roles, and for me, Depp delivered, Ledger didn't. I don't believe for a second anyone watched the movie and thought 'This guy IS The Joker' and not 'lol overdose' at least once. The best thing about the Joker, I thought, was the make-up/costume. Heath's performance was good, but it was still an acotr in make-up, get over it. I stand by 6.5/10. It's my opinion. If I'm ignorant for thinking so, then God help us. Yeah I mean it's your opinion, I mean you aren't going straight up and saying this movie is horrible and that's fact, so I mean it's completely your opinion and people should understand that. But I mean when the movie's as spectacular as Dark Knight, you can't help but expect some form of dispute from disgruntled fans, right? Not me obviously but people who get "upset" over negative reviews. |

Dear dear relaxy'all it's just a movie not a rocket science. ^^ I was supposed to watch the premiere but I didn't see the movie until yesterday. and... it was awesome, but not really the kind of movie I'd like to see again, except for all the Joker jokes, these were made of win and I ROLF'd half of the time. Heath really gave it his all, seriously watching this movie made it pretty easy to imagine what pushed him over the edge in real life. I won't make any philosophy about it, I don't think I wasted 2 hours by seeing it but not really the movie I'll remember forever either. It was just too serious. |

Remember guys. This is a review from a guy who enjoys Spider-Man but dislikes Iron Man. He doesn't really seems to enjoy movies in general, from what I gather. |

Haha! I love movies. I love good movies. I liked Spiderman because it was a happy-go-lucky movie that was perfect for 'just entertaining'. I was also, like, twelve at the time. The only two new release movies I've enjoyed recently (that I remember) were 'No Country For Old Men' and 'Cloverfield'. Though Cloverfield had lots of shit I didn't like, I thought it was still overall a good movie. |

I suggest stop waiting for new movies and start watching older movies. These new ones coming out might not suit your tastes. |

Theres nothing wrong with Spiderman, at least one and two anyway. 2 especially captured what is really the truest and closest you will get to comic books themselves - at least Spiderman ones anyway. It would be interesting to know what your top 5 movies of all time are God. |

Fetish for you.

I personally think that Heath's Joker portrail was outstanding and from what i've seen so far this year, he is the front runner for that oscar. The dark knight was brilliant, but the only problem i had was that it had a bit too many moral set pieces. Oh and it was a bit too long. |

I think 6.5/10 is a bit low for it, 7/10 I can accept. I can see the weaknesses in the movie, but it had many strenghts too, I propably liked it better than any other super-hero movie so far. I liked the fact that they made it quite serious, comic-relief is alright for some super-hero movies, but Batman works better without a lot of it imo. Maybe the biggest flaw was that they didn't have the time to make Dent turning evil completely believable. I consider it acceptable though. Many movies do that sort of thing (good guy turning bad) much worse. I thought I'd give it maybe 4/5, I guess that means 8/10. |

7+/10. Saw the movie last night and wasn't too impressed. Could be I went in with too high an expectation. Positive: Ledger's Joker. Negative: Slow beginning. Gotham was too 'normal', less futuristic than in 'Batman Begins'. Dent-transformation was a bit abrupt. That cell-phone-vision-thing, didn't quite make it with me. p.s. 'Hellboy II' was in the trailers, special effects noy looking bad at all! |

All movies generally have moral set pieces, you are hard done by to find even a insignificant kids movie that doesen't have some sort of message in it - as is the structure of our society, not everything just serves for entertainment. |

Well I'd first disagree with a 6.5/10. Although by no means is it a 10/10 My main complaints with the movie was: 1. The beginning was slow 2. Rachael truly was a waste, don't see why they bothered. I'm sure they could have worked a better way around the creation of Two Face. 3. How Dent became Two Face. Shame on them, the scar looks like a sort of burn but not from fire. Also how the hell could fire do that much damage to your face. 4. The crazy over the top scene where Batman takes Lau (you the one with the balloon and the airplane) 5. Got rid of all Two Face, mainly I'm saying this as he only just turned into a villain and Heath is now dead. So no Joker or Two Face. They'd be my main complaints but I wouldn't consider them major. I'd give it 7.5/10, maybe 8. I'd have to say Ledgers interpretation of the Joker was outstanding. The ruthlessness of his actions, crazy laugh, just everything about the Joker was perfect IMO. One thing that bothered me about Batman was his damn voice, he doesn't always have to talk with a deep husky sort voice. Annoying at times. |
