3. How Dent became Two Face. Shame on them, the scar looks like a sort of burn but not from fire. Also how the hell could fire do that much damage to your face.
It's a movie, and a Batman movie at that. I know Nolan's going for a more realistic approach with his Batman films, but he's not going for a completely down-to-Earth type of realism here. And you have to remember, he got one side of his face covered in a huge amount of oil before the fire caught his face and in the hospital they mentioned that he was refusing medication.

5. Got rid of all Two Face, mainly I'm saying this as he only just turned into a villain and Heath is now dead. So no Joker or Two Face.

Personally I think they did it very well. They actually gave Two-Face a good amount of screentime considering how late he came into the film - it wasn't like say, Venom in Spiderman 3 where he got very little. Besides, most people were expecting Two-Face to be the main villian for the next one but now he's gone, it leaves room for speculation on who the next one will be. I'm looking forward to seeing Nolan's take on some other Batman villians.

It also helped prove one of the things Harvey Dent said earlier - "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." Dent lived long enough to see himself become the villian, but when he died Batman told Gordon to make it known that all the deaths Dent caused (as Two-Face) were Batman's doing, making Harvey become known as a hero to the public for what he did before becoming the villian.

Have to agree with you on Batman's voice. I understand why he has to do it but it did get quite funny at some points, especially coupled with some of the lines he had to say.

Anyway, I have to say I though the movie was amazing. Very solid acting throughout, especially Heath ledger as the Joker - he's getting a lot of praise for it and he deserves every bit of it. It's kinda sad after watching the movie that we've lost such a great actor... His performance here would've surely opened new paths for him as an actor. But, while I don't agree with your 6.5/10, I'll agree it's not the best movie of all time. An amazing movie and most definitely one of the best I've seen in a while, but there's far too many films out there for this to be the best of all time.

All movies generally have moral set pieces, you are hard done by to find even a insignificant kids movie that doesen't have some sort of message in it - as is the structure of our society, not everything just serves for entertainment.
This one had so many I no longer cared about anything in the last 20 minutes of the movie. With it's length it becomes exhausting.

Still they could have found a different way around Dent's transformation, but yes it's a movie and since when has movies ever kept fully to the comics? Btw I'm not bashing it, just saying it could have been more loyal to the comics as I had wished.

My complaint was that Two Face is now dead. The actor that played Two Face (Aaron Eckhart I think or something similar) did a great job. Now they have to go and find more actors/villains which will just be a pain in the ass really. If Johnny Depp played The Riddler in the Batman 3 I'd be very happy.

I thought Heath Ledger play a very excellent Joker, the best I have ever seen. I just seen the movie for the first time yesterday and was blew away by Heath's performance, I thought all the praise he was getting was basically because of his death, I also personally thought he would be a terrible Joker, but I was completely wrong. I can't wait to see the movie again and I disagree with anyone who says Heath's performance was anything less than amazing.

But then again, I'm no professional critic, just a guy on the Internets.

Nicely said, I read some comments here and I can't help but to wonder, how many people actually go see the movies for stories about our morale? Joker savez d movi.

Is it possible for you to debate without coming off as a condescending arse? I am asking you politely to not speak to me like I am below you in terms of intelligence.

It's all well and good someone else thinks that, I'm not even arguing there was alot of it in the movie - but nothing that should be made an issue out of. If you are going to bitch about that, I wonder how the hell you felt about Crash.

Crash is a great movie actually, that I've seen multiple times, and I'd place it above TDK any day.

To the TC: A 6.5/10?? Are you out of your mind? Could you be any more nit-picky? Wow. I would love to hear what some of your "9" or "10" movies are.

Saw The Dark Knight a week ago on IMAX, thought it was amazing. I love Heaths Joker he captured it well, It was kinda annoying that the white skin was just paint and not cause of falling in Toxic waste or what not but whattaya gonna do?
His performance was so great to the point that he was unrecognizable which I think proves he was a legendary actor.
Who will replace him and do justice to such a performance?

As for Harvey Dent all I can say is character development FTW, sure it meant less screen time but the movie was really about Joker and I'm sure he'll appear in the next installment. Dent character dev was great, I've never seen a villain in any superhero movie get so much Character dev. Compare this TwoFace with the Tommy Lee Jones TwoFace, who do you care about more?

As for Bale, meh average performance IMO any other person with a six pack and a raspberry voice can pull off Batman.
Speaking of the voice WTF was up with that? did they not think "oh maybe this is too much?" could anyone understand what the fuck Christian Bale was saying?

The voice in a nutshell
