Cardboard Boxes; lol..

Okay guys, just came offline and wanted to ask why nobody uses cardboard boxes apart from me. Seriously! I know the way some of you play wont warrant using a C.box, but for those who patrol the floor and hunt people down (the sneakers and sly players I call them lol), its the most effective method to use. I just destroy where a box has been and plunk myself down in the same spot (avoids suspicion of a box in a irregular place for experienced players) wait until someone comes along..pass...unequipped box and easy kill from behind :D

I tried it out for curiosity last round on Ambush Ally, and got 7 kills using that method in one round. I don’t use them every round but sometimes it’s good to gain an advantage. My only tip would be to face the forward box hole towards a wall, because you can be seen through it.

Just wondering if anyone ever uses boxes effectively at all? ^_^

I use the C Box. It's particularly useful in TSNE. When you're on the defending team, get somewhere that the enemy are likely to pass and box it. It makes it a lot easier to search for the floating knives of a stealth enemy if you know that you don't need get behind cover, which could block your view.

Lets make a C Box clan! :D Seriously though, I thought I might be the only one or it was frowned upon as being unfair or something, but I think its a good tactic expecially team deathmatch and like G.J.V said, base defense.

Plisken > 95% of the time, run past.

Same stategy very effective in Rescue as well since you can't respawn. I took out the other team because my team rushed and I was the only one left, so it 1 vs 5 and I won lol, best moment of MGO. Im surprised I haven't gotten the tortise rank if there is one.

Wut, just because ppl are more skilled than you doesn't mean you have to glitch;
glitching is was made MGO1 end. Think about that next time you glitch,
glitchers are just weak, the only way to git gud is through practice.

Foxhound doesn't mean SHIT it just means you do well in a TEAM.
Level means how good you are by yourself and against others.

I found you in hell, I think I can find you in Jersey

I don't use the box's cause I personally find that they are easy to spot out. I constantly run by a box and you can see the people sitting inside it from the open flap. I can't count how many times I've killed a sitting duck.
So I've just decided, if somebody like me can spot them so often, then I'd be spotted as well if I tried to use it.

Its really funny though when you run past a box while SOP is in effect and you see a big red person sitting down in the fettle position. Makes me almost feel bad for shooting them.

I can see it being handy in a headshot game though.

I play Team Sneaking almost exclusively now (around 100th ranked in EU servers) and I run around in the box when I'm defending. It's good because when you hit someone, you unequip the box automatically, so if you don't see the person with stealth, you could accidently run into them.
Also, here's something I just found out the other day. If you wait in a carboard box, your Psyche goes up (slowly). I don't know whether it works for all rounds, but it works for TSNE. It's an extremely handy trick when you're running low on Psyche.
But I don't normally just sit in the box, unless I'm trying to regain Psyche.

I normally use it for "dodging" headshots. But use it just as much to hide in. I've never destroyed a box and taken its place, but I do use the box ALOT. I believe I have like 15+ hours in the box, haha

It's very handy but i make sure i always turn the open flap away from where the enemy can see.
Yes... so many people stroll pass unsuspecting... and then BANG!

Me too. If i can't see the open flap of a box then i go and check it out.
I also have a 3rd eye but i think i'll keep that to myself... :D

I use the c-box too, just break a box in the map and take it's place. Sometimes people ignore it.

I killed some guy 3 times in a row because he didn't understand I was inside the box he allways ran past by. :P
