Headshots. Am I missing something?

I mean yeah, I get headshots, but why does it seem like some people just go around taking them at every opportunity? Seriously, their aim CAN'T be that much quicker than mine, and sometimes it leaves me scratching my head; when I shoot a guy once in the head, that guy should be dead...right?

i've seen some players who just turn around and immediately pop me in the head with one shot in a second, idk how they can do it that fast unless they use auto aim or something i haven't heard of
also the main point of mgo is to kill other players, why wouldn't another person want to kill me asap and then move onto the next target
Spoiler: click to toggle

My point is that their aim seems to be either remarkably faster than mine (doubtful), or I'm missing something...

I know what you mean. I'm an Eagle, meaning I'm fairly good at getting headshots, but in close quarters, even at medium range, I find myself being bested by others firing the same gun. My guess is they use some kind of mark on their screen is to know exactly where their primary aim is at. Like say, they put a red sticker directly in the middle of their crosshairs. I personally enjoy getting the kills out of skill, rather than using a cheap manner such as that.

Are you saying they put a sticker on their TV screen?

People do that for all sorts of games. For example, a sticker, a dot from an erase marker, or a piece of tape.

Lol, it's just that I would have never thought anyone would do something like that. But I guess it isn't that far fetched.

um...no. People will get an insta headshot from first person mode. If they aim in 1st person mode and the dot is exactly on your head then you die. If you're in 3rd person mode and you have the circle over their head then they'll die in 3-4 shots or more. The closer your head is to filling up that circle the more likely you'll die. If you run into someone and they run into you and they aim first and just randomly fire, then they can just kill you instantly because your head would be so easy to hit.

No it's quite common. People will do anything to get an advantage in an online game, believe me.

Can I just say you can't get a headshot with Auto-aim, so rule that one out.

It annoys me too actually lol, I've led the kills in many rounds, and someone with half the kills beats me because of the whole head shot thing lol, and the way i play I'm never in a poition to get a headshot in often.

The M4 is a major head shot giver.
I knew that gun would be win ever since I used it online in MGO+.

Take me to boob town

I get a lot of quick headshots myself, but i have a very quick aim usually.
I've had plenty of practice in MGS4 and i'm really good at the first-person view because of MGS2 and MGS3.
You know some people can just aim quicker...

Well, I'm now a quick aimer.
Got myself a coupe of insta-headshots with the M4, surprised even myself.
Because of that, I'm now a level 7.
Hell Yeah.

Um, how would that even work, unless the person never moved their right analog stick?

It really pisses me off when I'm using a Sniper and from close range shoot someone in the head several times, and they are just flopping all over the place firing and they kill me when they should've been dead long ago. It really ticks me off.

Well naturally I think one really shouldn't be using a sniper from a close range to begin with. =\ Unless of course the person just flat out ran up to you. And, a nice tip for you guys honestly, if you have to use Assault Rifle 3 or SMG 3. That'll help alot in your accuracy alot.

What are you for real? When you move the analog stick, aiming the gun, the reticule remains in the center of the screen. It's everything else that moves. The arms go up and the camera angle tilts up. Same when aiming left and right. When you aim, the camera doesn't lock in place making the reticule the only thing moving.. Quite the opposite.
