I wish to cosplay!!! I thought about dressing up as Meryl because My real name is maryll and I thought that was kinda crazy. So here is my problem. I need meryl ref pics. I'm thinking meryl in mgs4 because I don't wanna do a half assed costume. I'm willing to but some money into this. Also I can't sew...yea so I need to find some place to help me out in some areas of the costume. Also where will i find the gear. You guys know mgs the best so I need advice on a kick ass costume. Yes dear, first I think cosplays alot of fun! Secondly, I'd go to a website where they make them all comirsially made and check the specs and what they used in place of certain materials. One of the best I ever saw (In the hard work stakes) was a fury outfit - it was wicked! Then you can see how they've cut it and what they used, I'll check some for you my dear. I'd just go to an army surplus store. Buy the gear there and then get Foxhound patches off ebay. I think authentic army type gear would look waaay better than replica/costume. Plus foxhound patches only go for a few bucks. The hair is the biggest thing about her so if you've got that you're pretty much set. Plus get a couple of bullets and make em into earrings. |

Yeah, Violent's right. An army surplus would probably be the best place to get your kit, though I doubt you'll find anything exactly like that vest that Meryl wore. The cheapest airsoft Desert Eagle I found was here at Airsplat.com (but a bit pricey at $49.95 each), but if you live in America, I wouldn't suggest carrying one of those with you down the sidewalk. Anyway, good luck with you project and hope you'll post pics in the future! |

I doubt you'll ever find a utility vest exactly the same as that, the closest thing is probably a WebTex Crossdraw (too many pockets) or a WebTex Tactical (pockets vertical instead of horizontal). Your best bet would be to get a Viper Special Ops vest, and just sew pockets on as needed, in fact I think that vest might have velcro for adding pockets, since it doesn't come fitted with any. |

Yes, I agree on that. Get a couple of airsoft Desert Eagles online without any red paint on the barrel. Try some airsoft forums and ask them about modifications to see if you could mod one to get the long barrel. I don't believe I've seen any pre-made long-barrel D.E.s. Ask people who have already put costumes together what they've done, where they got particular gear that catches your fancy, etc. I hope it goes well. I'm not into it myself, but it's often fun to see the results of others efforts. |
