I am Issachar Posts: 975 Group: The Special Forces Member #1,092 Joined: July 14, 2005	Levels are based on a consistency of winning, and how well you do against other players. I hate to say it but think back to how Halo 3 was with the exp you could earn. If you did good against a Seasoned Player, You gained more exp. If you did bad against a newer player or a player with a lower vs rank rating, you lost more than you normally would. That's how it works in MGO (to my understanding atleast). Levels are essentially Your "vs rating rank" meaning this is how you could tell if someone is good or not. Typically the higher it is the better the person is, or the better chance they have of winning. We'll take Me, for example a guy who is slightly above average, at level 7. Very rarely sometimes 8. And compare it to ThunderboltZ who is at the top of the leaderboards for Capture and Base, I believe the last time I saw him he was level 12 or higher. (Insanity I know). So Lets say I was to play ThunderboltZ for 4 Rounds in Capture, and I win each round and I score 5 kills and 2 deaths off of him, (which would never happen by the way), and planted all 4 goals (which would also never happen in my current state). My level could easily jump up 2-3 spaces. But if I lose or did badly against him I don't lose very much, because the game knows he's a very good player. Now, Lets pit me against a slightly below average player. Say someone about level 4-5, and I did really bad against them. I go from level seven to about level 5-6. And then the other player, goes up to about 5-6. Also if it helps any, Alot of times people with higher levels I've noticed have higher scores. To use me as an example again I think I'm still level 7. My score rating overall is about 40k. Most of it came from playing TDM and Capture modes. I hope that helps.

I think its a bit inconsistent in the fact you could be playing some peoples second characters at level 3 or something, and they beat you at level 6 and it brings your ranking right down. So basically I dropped two levels for being shit against n00bs lol, awesome

But, I'm guessing sniping off the the prisoners or guards from a sniper tower or warehouse could get you up.

Blue team are guards Red team are prisoners Red team can only use knives and must drop there items and go into prison. Blue team uses weapons like Mosin Shield and Smoke and Grenades A prisoner escapes you can kill them, if the don't then you can't. A prisoner can stun you and take you weapons. Every time a prisoners spawns he must go to jail and drop off his weapons before he can escape. Thats all I know about the game correct me if I'm wrong though.

Sounds weird How can the guards kill the prisoner? (anyway apart from stun knife?) So basically the prisoners are supposed to just get knocked around most of the time? I don't see whats in it for being the prisoners, surely you're just going to get stunned to hell every few seconds. Why do you have to escape if you could just sit in jail and wait for the round to end, etc?

Went into a CQC match at level 7, came out of it at level 8 o.O Edit: and on that note, what the fuck is with the disarming enemys weapons?! isit completely fucking random or something?? sometimes i can do it, sometimes i cant? and i do the exact same thing...in TSNE in survival just now, managed to grab one of the guards, done what i needed and i just strangle him instead of taking his weapon!!! done it on another guard, and i stole his weapon just fine?! When you FIRST grab someone you have to push R1 again to disarm, before you start choking them.
