I am unpopular and use the d-pad to move and the analog stick for the camera position. To circle strafe I flip my left hand from movement position to attack/defensive position. So while I'm running through an area of the map, my thumb is on the d-pad. But when I am attacking or being attacked, I switch the posistion of my hand where my thumb leaves the d-pad and is replaced with my left index finger and my middle finger rests on the analog stick. This is how I circle strafe. Might not work for everyone but I've worked the bugs out the past few months and my fingers are strengthened and seasoned for this now.. and it's easier than it was 6 months ago. |

:/ Okay so I decided to post a guide on how to circle strafe on config A. Many players have been asking me 1."CellPhish how do you circle strafe on config A? It seems difficult". 2."You strafe with 5-6 fingers CellPhish? I can't do that =[" 3. "How do you change aim so fast in config A?" Well, I'm going to tell you how to circle strafe that won't give you a hard time. First off, go to options and change your camera speed and rotation speed to both 10. Yes. it may seem too fast, but the faster the rotation is, the faster you master circle strafe and land headshots way faster. Now place your left index finger on your dpad, your left thumb on the analog, right index finger on your R trigger, and your right thumb on square. As soon as you're in this position your probably saying"Ouch this hurts my fingers." Yes I know it hurts, but you see, the more you're in this position, the less pain you will get when your put your fingers in this position. Your fingers is just getting use to getting close to each other when it is curved. Now for the real fun. When you are about to strafe battle, immediately place your right index finger on R trigger. Use your left index finger on your dpad and strafe left and right. This is what they call a regular strafe. Use your left index thumb and place it on the analog. Use the analog to change aim. To circle strafe, wherever you strafe, you have to change your aim in the opposite direction. So if your strafing on the right, move your analog to the left. If you strafe left, then you aim right. Putting the rotation speed to 10 helps you turn fast when you manual strafe(it's when you move aim while strafing). It also helps you turn to 360 degress faster. When you are shooting an enemy(with your right thumb on square), make sure you don't spray shoot while changing direction and aim. If you do this, you will be spraying and wasting your ammo, plus you won't aim well when doing this. Keep doing this, and you should have no more pain in probably a month. For Advanced Strafing- If you think you're ready to do some advanced strafing, then you should continue on reading this. In order to accomplish this, you need to have your left middle finger on the L button. In this lesson, I will teach you the most efficient way of killing somebody real fast using QSS. What is QSS? It means quick shot strafe, a type of strafing that can kill someone real fast by combining autolock, crouch and manual aim. If you ever played +Dummy-MOFO+, what he do is QSS. QSS works well in close strafing. Now to be honest, I don't do the QSS that everyone do. I do mines my way. People think that my way is hacks because I can execute a QSS and kill someone faster then regular QSS. But I'm going to prove to you guys that it's not. My way-(Works well in far and close strafing) As you get ready to strafe, press R and crouch. As soon as you get up, immediately press L and hold it. Use the dpad to move strafe and use the analog to change aim. Being able to be in zoom mode helps you aim better then just being in first person mode. As you get better, you become so fast at manual QSS, everyone will call you a hacker. Note- I'm the only person that manual QSS to be honest, but I guess I can help everyone do it my way. NEVER, and I mean NEVER, let go of R unless you let go of L first. If you let go of R first, you end up locking your enemy with autolock and you will mess up your aim. Be sure you use crouching for your advantage, this can help your enemy by confusing them and helping you change strafe direction without them knowing. Normal way-(Works well in close strafing.) The normal way is a little bit more easier since you can lock on your enemy instead of manualy getting them. When you're about to fight your enemy, crouch and immediately lock on to them. The reason why you should crouch is because when you lock on them, the rifle is pointing up to them. As soon you autolock, quickly get up and at the same time HOLD L. Not only will it rifle zoom, but it helps the aim stay the same. So yeah, this is basically how I QSS, no hacks, no autoheadshots, only legit QSS. Hope you guys like the guide. Credits to cellphish thar. |

A rotation speed of 10 is too fast for me. I adjusted mine to 8 and I can get my gun lined up perfectly with their head quickly and instantly. The thing is my timing isn't right to go for the the actual kill. Once I get my timing sorted out I'm pretty sure I will be a fairly good player. But not at the moment. |
