I actually liked her a lot more in MGS1. She was more real and kept her head, although her emotions showed too and got in the way too. In Act 3 she spoke to Snake as if she was looking down on him. Meryl looking down on Snake ? |

Yeah, I noticied that. Just shown how weak Snake had got, in a way, how he just sits there and says nothing, his self confidence lowered (his psyhce) and I think we all know, nothing really had got to Snake in the past, he had always been self-confident of himself. |

I've heard numerous people say the same thing you just did. I personally, have no problem with stating that I didn't care for him in MGS2. And even in MGS4, in comparison to other characters in the series, he did not shine in his new found coolness as much I expected him to. |

I would say Solid Snake first of all obviously he's the main protagonist and all. I also like Liquid, his attitude is too cool man..."Broootherrrr its been too looooong" lol well thats Liquid Ocelot but still i like the guy. |

I like Meryl, she was supposed to be shown in contrast to Snake, and amplify his aging. And yes, redheads do it for me too. Now I always have and will love Solid, but Big Boss will always be my favourite, I loved the MGS Series until MGS3, but not until then was I a true fan, I had never been moved like I was at the end of MGS3. I didn't cry, simply stared out of the window for a few hours.  Im gonna miss Johnny shittin himself.

lol cmon guys. I dont really like raiden either, i never have. But i still think he is a necessary character. ALTHOUGH, as we can see from the MGS3 secret theater "metal gear solid: snake eraser" the game designers ALSO find it enjoyable to make fun of raiden. Not to mention Riakov. |

Solid Snake is of course the the most heroic character and ultimately the best, however my personal favourite character is Raiden (MGS2 not MGS4) he has a completely different way of thinking to Snake, he isn't afraid to question things and ask questions that perhaps shouldn't be asked, I love his charactistics. He shows bravery, love and loyalty, however he lacks in charisma making him very distant toward the characters which is an interesting characteristic for MGS2's plot. Raiden is by far my favourie character. |
